President Obama will address the House Republican Conference later this month during their retreat in Baltimore, being held Jan. 28th to 30th.
Obama was invited by the elected GOP Leadership to speak a few weeks ago and will take them up on their offer. ...
Despite that gracious tone, House Minority Whip Eric Cantor wrote this morning in a statement:
Though its welcome news that President Obama will speak with House Republicans later this month, it is important to point out that true bipartisanship requires working together on common-sense solutions and a mainstream agenda to help Americans facing difficult challenges. It is important to ask whether the President plans to meet WITH Republicans, or speak TO them. In 2009, on the rare occasion when we were invited to the White House, the President paid Republican proposals lip service while the cameras were on, only to completely rebuff those ideas afterward. The problems faced by our country have grown too large for the President to respond to Republican and Independent views and solutions with indifference, like in 2009. I hope this is a sign that a new year will bring change.

This will only succeed in making 0bama look bipartisan and make the Republicans look more RINO to their own constituents.
Then prepare for the GOP to become unable to attack a guy nice enough to talk kindly with them on their own retreat.
They will be neutered because they won’t want to appear ungrateful in the press.

I certainly hope that the Conservatives boycott the meeting.
“The Republicans are sending us a message.
Only donate to specific candiates, and only directly to them.
NO donations to the RNC.
Thats the message”
Yep. you are correct sir.
I wonder if Congressman Joe Wilson will repeat himself in the middle of Obamaâs pompous bloviation.
Yeah right, what leadership?
This is satire right? =.=
I’m going out of the country on business soon, and may not return.
if i didn’t have a kid in college, id be making aliyah
I guess you call it "true bipartisanship" when the dems shut out the Republicans during meetings involving the destruction of the entire healthcare and insurance system as we know it.

if only it was satire
and to think i actually liked cantor...the only jew in the house. disgusting. no wonder my peeps are hated. bernanke, greenspan, rosenthal, schumer. im embarrassed by my peeps.
We knew the Dems didn’t understand the level of public opposition to big government, but now it’s obvious that the Pubs don’t understand either. This leads me to believe that when they retake the Congress, that they will revert to their big spending ways. Why don’t they invite some Conservatives and Tea Party participants to learn from them? They should already know what Obama’s about.
tell me its April 1
I don’t get this at all.
