President Obama will address the House Republican Conference later this month during their retreat in Baltimore, being held Jan. 28th to 30th.
Obama was invited by the elected GOP Leadership to speak a few weeks ago and will take them up on their offer. ...
Despite that gracious tone, House Minority Whip Eric Cantor wrote this morning in a statement:
Though its welcome news that President Obama will speak with House Republicans later this month, it is important to point out that true bipartisanship requires working together on common-sense solutions and a mainstream agenda to help Americans facing difficult challenges. It is important to ask whether the President plans to meet WITH Republicans, or speak TO them. In 2009, on the rare occasion when we were invited to the White House, the President paid Republican proposals lip service while the cameras were on, only to completely rebuff those ideas afterward. The problems faced by our country have grown too large for the President to respond to Republican and Independent views and solutions with indifference, like in 2009. I hope this is a sign that a new year will bring change.

There’ll be dozens of blinded RINO’s at the conference. Each time Bowrama reaches around to scratch his arse, he’ll poke another one in the eye. Or, a sudden halt by Bowrama will cause all of the RINO’s to pile up on the ground behind him.
>> The will be no bipartisanship...Obama will remind them with I won. I trump you on that.
I disagree.
There will be political orgasms.
US President Barack Obama walks to the Oval Office after disembarking from Marine One upon returning to the White House in Washington, DC. Americans are deeply divided on Obama's first year in the White House, and the president's ratings on priority issues health care and the economy have hit new lows, polls showed Tuesday. Huh???
The Republicans aren’t getting one more dime from me until they “get it”. How dumb are they? They all need to bone up on Rules for Radicals and start playing the same game as the dems. I don’t want to hear about us taking the “high road” anymore. I want to take the winning road.
...what do they think he’s going to say that would mean anything to them?
This looks BAD - they should be distancing themselves from this guy....
WTF?
Unbelivable. Zero won’t even let Republicans in to any WH meetings so the REPUBs decide to throw him a party in Baltimore, when they should be figuring out how to represent their consituents and win some elections.
It called snatching defeat from victory.
Yeah, give him a platform to represent himself as “bipartisan” when he’s anything but. And just when his poll numbers are slipping. Great idea guys! /s
... Complete morons
And these so-called party leaders want me to send them campaign funds.
They can go piss up a rope. They make me want to puke.
Not every old news story is breaking news.
What else would anyone expect from the spineless boot-lickers who now inhabit the GOP?
This isn’t going to sit well for a lot of us Republicans!!!!! Who do we write? Time for a MASSIVE TEA PARTY!!!
What F’n genius even proposed this fluster cuck?
The pubs are going to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory in 2010 ... like they always seem to do.
jeez, my gut reaction was wow this is so funny (satire)....
i am ready to puke.
when will the GOP take Pat Caddell’s advise and grow a set.
Im changing my party to Independent. Ive been a registered GOP for 30 years. yikes.
no more.
