President Obama will address the House Republican Conference later this month during their retreat in Baltimore, being held Jan. 28th to 30th.
Obama was invited by the elected GOP Leadership to speak a few weeks ago and will take them up on their offer. ...
Despite that gracious tone, House Minority Whip Eric Cantor wrote this morning in a statement:
Though its welcome news that President Obama will speak with House Republicans later this month, it is important to point out that true bipartisanship requires working together on common-sense solutions and a mainstream agenda to help Americans facing difficult challenges. It is important to ask whether the President plans to meet WITH Republicans, or speak TO them. In 2009, on the rare occasion when we were invited to the White House, the President paid Republican proposals lip service while the cameras were on, only to completely rebuff those ideas afterward. The problems faced by our country have grown too large for the President to respond to Republican and Independent views and solutions with indifference, like in 2009. I hope this is a sign that a new year will bring change.

You are missing the point so badly because you're letting blind emotion rule clear thinking. I'm the opposite of a moderate, but you wouldnlt know that look through your haughty assed rose colored lenses. If you'd put half as much effort into conservatizing the Repub party as you do bitchin about it, then we'd be way ahead of this game. However, from what I'm reading there is a huge waste of a political steadfast stance going on in your life. It is something which will never materialize in this county at this time in history.
I hear you and even understand where you're coming from, but please try to grasp the reality, not the prophesy. The fight we need to be involved with is in the republican party, not some farcical third rail party which is not even a blink on the radar.
Go ahead and tear the republican party apart, and then realize it will be a cold day in hell before you ever see conservatives gain political power again...that means political agenda's foist upon us which will always be a direct antithesis to what you believe! The country is not ready to go rogue political party, just maybe only a with a candidate. And a HAWT one at that!
You're so blindly righteous you don't even know what a rino is!
...Uh hmmmmmmmmm. When was it that "Conservatives" had control again?
By the way... You're ignorance of scripture is uncanny. I've not quoted one single prophesy.
We're done. You are so busy trying to educate me about what a "RINO" is that you can't see what a "Conservative" is. Don't talk to me until you pull your head out. I'm talking about the creation of a "Conservative" party and you're talking about keeping the status quo. You moderates have destroyed the Republican party now you're whining because Conservatives aren't coming back. Outside of a few local races you will not see Conservatives in the Republican party. Get used to it.
We’re done.
Look, I hate it just as much as you, probably even more that republican's have let the rino's in positions of power in the republican party. I know...I know, there have been mostly moderate factions in this party, but I am talking about a real power play here, because it's the ONLY ONE CONSERVATIVES have! Conservative's will not ever form a political party in this day and age worth a tinker's damn!!! If you do understand this you and your ilk are going to end up in the political wasteland of history. We have the best opportunity we have ever had as conservatives to change the party to a purely conservative one in nature.
You have no idea the things I know about scripture, and once again you missed the entire point I was making.
In 1994 conservatives basically took over both houses. In 12 short years they squandered the living daylights out of their power. Conservatives do this because of our nature. Conservatives do not make politics our religion.
I'm a conservative who lives according to reality, it appears you are conservative who is totally disregarding reality! Truthfully, I'm not sure you are even a "conservative." You write like some holier-than-thou, independent, libertarian wanker!
Now again. Stop responding to me.
Thanks.
Talk to the hand! LOL!
amazing....this guy is too predictable, should make campaign efforts a cake walk
