...I am afraid Sarah Palin is going to harm herself unintentionally over this tea party convention in Nashville...
Let me be blunt: charging people $500.00 plus the costs of travel and lodging to go to a National Tea Party Convention run by a for profit group no one has ever heard of sounds as credible as an email from Nigeria promising me a million bucks if I fork over my bank account number...

Don’t tell us what we think.
I’ve been out here for most the last 30 years, I had no illusions about Duncan Hunter outside of his district, nor did he. The 2008 effort as he was retiring was to assure that the publicity guaranteed the seat for his son, who I voted for of course. Duncan is retired now.
You have no idea how aware I am that Rep. Hunter has retired and that his son now has that seat in Congress. Not only did I heavily support Duncan L, but I also supported Duncan D. Duncan L. served as chairman of the Armed Services Committee for many years. What he was allowed to say during the campaign was exactly what needed to be done, and he said it in a very presidential manner.IMHO. Far and above any other candidate.
I am not telling you what to think. I am telling you what I think. Take it or leave it.
Cute deception, I didn’t say that you were telling me what to think, I said “Dont tell us what we think.”, which is what you did to me when you posted.
“P.S. I know you are not okay with that.”
The same was once said about the man who first uttered your screen name.
And then I will have been proven wrong.
LOL!! So okay, you ARE okay with that. Until the announcement is made, this is still a free country. But at least now we NOW know who we are talking with. A hairsplitter in the grand manner. Too bad. Tata.
I don’t really know what you were trying to say, but I assume that it was another one of your “in your face” type posts.
Of course she can win, but listen to yourself, you seem to know that we could get one of the rarest victories in American politics, a conservative winning the republican nomination for president, but your biggest concern is that the media doesnt like her.
Of course the media doesnt like her, their reaction will be the same to any conservative that is in a position to actually win the republican nomination, as rare an event as that is.
If you think those three republicans that I mentioned are well-respected then you show your colors, those are all media approved, Rockefeller/Romney type republicans, that did not please the republican base.
By the way, Governor Palin is a wife, mother, conservative, and a Christian, why did you call her a Ms.?
If you have something to post to me, put it on the thread, don’t send me secret freepmails, it is pretty hard for conservative freepers to rebut you if they cannot read your posts.
I wanted to get back to you and provide a couple of links that support my comments yesterday. One is from San Antonio, discussing the cancelled convention which was just two weeks away.
http://blogs.mysanantonio.com/weblogs/scottstroud/2010/01/tea-party-symposium-cancelled.html
The second link is more recently from a former Nashville tp’er who spells out the problems with the upcoming for-profit convention.
As I said yesterday, I am compelled to question what Palin is thinking (as well as Hannity, Malkin, Ingraham, etc) by agreeing to attend these events without even bothering to ascertain who is putting them on, and where (if any) profits will go.
To blindly sign-on to an event without knowing who you’re dealing with, is just not a good idea. It certainly isn’t “presidential”. This kind of thing could really backfire on her if people weren’t sounding the alarm FOR her. (It isn’t people who blindly follow Palin without question who are the ones watching her back.)
Before I get to reading those links.
An event being cancelled and so appearances by the big media names being called off does not seem like a big deal to me.
It sounds terribly lame and desperate on your part to be obsessing over nothing.
I like that expression!
>I don’t really know what you were trying to say but I assume that it was another one of your “in your face” type posts.<
Oh, yeah. Resorting to personal barbs is a habit I do not admire.
Bob J’s trolling efforts do draw some attention around here.
To: Bob J
I love Palins conservatism and patriotism! She may very well support McCain out of loyalty and I have no problem with that. And I have no problem with whom she supports with her PAC. There is nothing written that says she has to do everything (or anything at all) according to JIM.
Sarah is unabashedly pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-family, pro-America, pro-constitution, pro-gun, pro-limited government and so am I. And shes wildly popular among the God-loving, Liberty-loving folks with whom I choose to associate. In short, shes a refreshing breath of clean fresh air in an otherwise putrid failure of a RINO infested party.
She represents my interests better than any other viable wannabe at this point and if she decides to run, she will have my undivided support!!
Romney, the draft-dodging, Big Government, lying statist political whore can KMA!!
And your picture does say a 1,000 words, but Bob, unfortunately theyre all about YOU and political whores like you and the results and likely outcome of your slavish, cultish RINOism!!
So you can shove your picture and your RINOs where the sun dont shine.
Sarah has more guts, talent, ability, patriotism, and sheer determination and love for America and our God-given Liberty than you and Romney and a thousand other RINOS will ever have!
Its been more than obvious for several years that our pro-Life & Liberty Free Republic has become an embarrassment for you, so why the hell dont you just take a fricken hike already!!
Shove it, pal.
GET THE HELL OFF FR if you dont like it, but whatever you do quit your damn whining and pestering good conservative FReepers about your hatred for Sarah Palin!! Its beyond sickening.

You’re welcome.
So your point is to use Jim Robinson to intimidate anyone who questions the con artists trying to take advantage of Mrs. Palin?
That is really truly gutless.
If you are that angry at JR’s post ping him, don’t jump on me for posting it to Bob J again, because it is relevant to Bob J’s trolling on this thread and other Palin threads.
People that have been recipients of bob’s trash are entitled to know that they are among excellent company when they are fed up with his nonsense.
If his post makes you feel intimidated, well, that is something that you need to analyze within yourself, you sound kind of gutless.
Thank you, Saul Alinksy. LOL.
You are the one playing slick liberal here and doing an anti Palin campaign, which parts of post 233 do you find wrong or incorrect?
Don’t be coy and misdirecting, speak up, tell us where you disagree with 233 so that we can respond.
And this is how you would have conservatism end: “...not with a bang but a whimper” (or whine: shouting down, denigrating and making personal attacks on all who may share your values, but maybe not all your tactics to achieve them. To suggest that those who may disagree with your tactics and your choice of flag bearer for our common cause are not (your words) “God-loving, Liberty-loving folks” is both frightening and divisive. We are here at this forum because we share many common beliefs and values. Lets not forget that the Forum was originally the public area in Rome where trials were heard, differing points of view argued. “Pro-God, pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-family, pro-America, pro-constitution, pro-gun, pro-limited government” (again, your words) describes me as well as it describes you and Governor Palin. I admire her as you do.
I know all of us here want to see a conservative in the White House. Unfortunately politics is not a pretty game. Sometimes in order to win we have to toe that very fine line between what is the ideal and what is reality. We have to do that without sacrificing the win or our core beliefs and values.
I am not embarrassed by this great Republic. And I will not “take a hike”. I will do all in my power—as I did when Ronald Reagan was running—to put a conservative in the White House.
One more thing. I know the parable of the sheep, the wolf, and the Sheep Dog. However, there is an interesting twist. In the world of Sheep Dogs there are also Mastiffs, Wolf Hounds, Pit Bulls and at least two of my brother’s mangy mongrels that do not know or care about the difference between Sheep and Sheep Dogs.
Maybe we should stop focusing at what divides us and start seeing and appreciating the common cause we share. We die if we eat our own.
Cicero, thanks for getting beyond the superficial analysis...magritte
