I’m Afraid Sarah Palin Might Be Ruining Herself Unintentionally
RedState ^ | January 11, 2010 | Erick Erickson

...I am afraid Sarah Palin is going to harm herself unintentionally over this tea party convention in Nashville...

Let me be blunt: charging people $500.00 plus the costs of travel and lodging to go to a “National Tea Party Convention” run by a for profit group no one has ever heard of sounds as credible as an email from Nigeria promising me a million bucks if I fork over my bank account number...

Thanks, at some point I’m going to read that but I am trying to catch up on the rest of the thread for a bit.

So I don’t get why Sarah is somehow being blamed for this.

The writer is not blaming her for the event. He's questioning her participation in it. He says that very clearly.

If someone does not agree with you it means they are on drugs? How does one arrive to that mindset?

have said “I do not have an Anti-Palin agenda.” You can either accept that as a statement of fact, “’

It walks like a duck, quacks like a duck..it IS a duck.

or you can go boil your head”

I am gonna leave that jumping over a cliff bit to left wing propagandists like you.

Even if I were “aware” of this, I couldn’t care less. “

I knew you didn't care much for facts or reality the moment I read your first post. The fact that more Republicans identify with Sarah Palin as best representing their values than they do any other politician, puts the lie to your ‘the mind boggles” crack about her, leaving you with nothing to hold on to.

A meaningless question: you could answer “Bugs Bunny” instead of “Sarah Palin” and still get just as valid an answer.”

Ummm.. no. The first, instinctive retort of the loony left, is to denigrate and dismiss any real facts, that out their imbecilic rubbish to shame.
Worth pointing out that Bugs Bunny was not listed in the list of candidates in any of these polls. Most potential GOP candidates for 2012 were listed though, ad Sarah Palin trumped them all amongst Republicans, on who most identifies with their values.
Try doing a poll on who “who identifies most with your valuers” on your pal Bugs Bunny and see where that gets ya.

It surely is you —”

I am not the one going about spewing out loony left rubbish. you are.

Is there a reason you only posted a snip from this blog? Why not post the entire article so people can get the entire flavor what was written if they so choose without having to click through?

Posting an entire article without permission is theft. This is something FReepers can't get through their heads. I click links all the time. It's not a hardship. I also have virus and spyware protection.

No, Gov. Palin is wise to avoid CPAC which is
a RINO lovefest for RINO-Backstabber Mitt Romney.

Right?

And carpetbagger Mitt Romney, although not the “answer”
to anything, is the reason why gay marriage and
socialized medicine plague America today.
Romney is also the reason why Gov. Palin
has been attacked by traitors in the GOP for too long,
and why Obama is Pres_ _ent. How is that working
out for you RomneyBOTs?

Let us fully support Sarah Palin as she brings the conservative Tea Party Movement into being a full fledged political party. Google sarahpalin/teapartymovement. com. We must support this movement to the fullest since the RNC does not recognize conservative principles. We can rise like Phoenix to take matters into our own hands. For future generations. Any money we can contribute will be the best money we could ever spend. Contact all your cyber friends. Get the word out. We can do it!

Sarah Palin is not trying to form a third party. Get real.

but we are going to need more than conservatives voting for her.”

Sarah Palin is polling about even amongst independents in the Fox/Opinion Dynamics poll (48/47).
That's all she needs to win, independents, plus the overwhelming majority of Republicans. Forget about the loony left and the Democrats. They currently make up approx 35% of the electorate anyways, and independents are increasingly running away from the Democrats. Once Sarah Palin wins over the indepdendents(and she is wining them over), that's it. The Fox New gig can only improve her poll numbers even further.

The GOP on the other hand is trying to form a 3rd party through their utter failure. LOL

You are clearly delusional.

Good for you! I thought about it but don’t travel well. They also don’t mention that the convention is SOLD OUT with a waiting list.

CPAC still has openings. How many openings might be the real question as to why some like Redstate and Dan Riehl are causing a ruckus.

> That is ridiculous, many of us knew about the most popular governor in America that was already starting to be discussed in political circles, something that never happened to my congressman (Duncan Hunter).

Your recollection of events must be different to mine, then. I recall there being some considerable surprise over Sarah Palin getting the nod for running mate, and some considerable discussion — both here on FRee Republic and elsewhere — about who Sarah Palin is and what does she stand for.

She was a great choice when compared with McCain, and she probably accounted for much of his vote on election day.

Outside of Alaska I’m not sure many people knew about her at all — she certainly wouldn’t have figured on my Top Ten Likely Candidate list back then.

It would be interesting to go back thru FRee Republic’s postings and see how much mention he had pre-Convention. I’ll speculate (with the admitted possibility of being way wrong) that there wasn’t much.

That, coming from the out-of-touch propagandist, that referred to Sarah Palin’s values(and by default conservative values) using the phrase “the mind boggles” is laughable.
You are so out of touch with the Republican man in the street, if you moved any further left, you'd fall right off the planet!

From “Politico”: “Palin has reportedly waived the fee for some charitable events, but what’s billed as a meeting of the grass-roots conservative movement is not among those.”

I don’t know what the facts are, but here is a “Politico” article from yesterday that plainly says she will be charging a $100,000 fee, or at least a very high fee.

http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0110/31409.html

Officials who know don’t seem to be confirming or denying. I’ve read other places on other days that she’ll be charging her usual fee for the Nashville appearance.
