Obama Going on Six Months Without a Press Conference

President Obama is preparing for his State of the Union address, expected sometime in the next month, but some in the White House press corps are getting antsy for him to hold a news conference with reporters, something he hasn't done since July 22, almost six months ago.

The only way Obama will ever hold a “press conference” is if he can select both the questioners and the questions in advance, so that his staff can give him answers to memorize.

I think the article begs the question as to why Obama avoids answering media questions via press conferences.

Whenever he is speaking before a group of journalists, he does not answer any questions.

The Kenyan just makes a statement, and walks off.
