It was the thinnest of reeds, but that didn't stop George Stephanopoulos from clinging to ittwicein doing his best for Harry Reid . . .
Appearing on GMA today, Steph stressed that Reid's remarks about then-candidate Obama being "light-skinned" and having no "negro dialect" were supposed to be "private."
Stephanopoulos tried to put the best face on things during a conversation with weekend co-host Kate Snow.

Everybody knows that “private” racism is perfectly acceptable! For democrats, that is!
Typical white person...
Uh-huh. A person's "Character" is determined by how he acts when he thinks no one is watching.
Gotcha, dingy-boy.
So it is alright to be racist as long as you keep it quiet. Right.
Hating marxists is NOT race based. Karl Marx was as white as the StayPuft Marshmallow Man. Mao, Castro, Kim Jung Il, etc. etc. etc. You get the picture.
Strom Thurmond’s party was a private affair as well. That didn’t stop the media and republicans from going after Trent Lott. Then again, if you’re spineless to begin with and won’t defend yourself, you deserve what you get.
And George said it was definitely not true that Sen. Reid once dropped to one knee, threw out his arms and said, “Mammy, it’s your son from Alabammy!”
Nice work!
;0)
Depends on HOW it was said; his tone, in other words. IF it was said in a sneering way, definitely, it would be derogatory AND racist.
Because of the leftist fifth column enemy media like Steponallofus, the deceitful duplicity of the demcorats is never an issue ... Trent Lott was crucified by the media for far less than filthy Harry Reid has done.
I am not giving Clinton a pass. Not by by any stretch. I do not view the world through racial colored glasses and hope my initial take reflected that.
I would never be so presumptuous as to tell anyone what is offensive and what is not. I did not see it in terms of black servitude. In that context, it is very offensive.
Ok let me get this straight....as long as you are a democrat making racist statments in private is ok? Why I just bet that all of them do this a lot so it is really no big deal, right? *sarcasm*
The only part that might have been offensive to ZerO is that he only has “negro dialect” when he WANTS to.. meaning that he’s an utter phony and to use a catchphrase “inauthentic”.
