On the lighter side, and for those interested in outfitting their vehicle (particularly pickup trucks) with the necessary implements to address global warming and climate change, I offer the following video:
YOUTUBE VIDEO: Ranch Hand "Summit" front bumper replacement-deer guard
Ranch Hand pickup truck accessories are made in Texas. So, while we are down here, GAil (aka the boss) gave me permission, purely as a cost saving measure you understand, to purchase a couple of long desired accessories for the truck.
I didn't have to be told twice...hehehe.
Here are some more pictures.
Installation...I'd love to have helped, but with my current health condition, that's not me.

Yes they will...and hitting a larger White Tail at 60 MPH or better will just ruin your day. I recommend the Ranch Hand Ssummit. They will also fit the Denali.

I had a similar bumper replacement on my F-350 while in MOntana in the early to mid 1990s. They work well. They make this exact same guard for the F-150. Worth the investment.

Precisely. Well worth the investment if you are running in any country where there is the possibility for that. And as much driving as I do in the back country and up in the mountains, this was something I have been kind of sitting on edge for. Since we were down here, we went ahead. Besides, the boss said it was ok. hehehe.

Hehehe. Yes. It was 9 degrees in Denton yesterday morning. Colder for that day than in Emmett, ID back home...and even colder than Ft. McMurray Alberta where our youngest son, Jared (who helped me a lot at Klamath Falls, OR with the water crisis back in 2001), is currently serving his LDS mission. They had a warm spell up there and were only down to 10 degrees Farenheit that morning.

Thats a 2005 GM product...before their decent into pure D socialism. The off road package is better, the vehicle to this day holds its value better. But, the FORD and Dodge priducts were also good then and are today. If I were buying today Id probably go Ford on principle alone.I drive a Z71 as well, great truck, but its pushing 240K, if I end up buying new, it will be a Ford. Tough call for a GM guy. Still praying for you Jeff!

I'm right there with you on that decision. But mine has just broken 50K and I have a of miles left in her...and she works so well for what I need her for.
Thank you, and God bless you for the prayers on our behalf.

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Pass it around (the youtube video) if you are so inclined to other pickup truck enthusiasts.

Thanks bro...next Thursday I go in for the start of treatment and what is likely to be a long and arduous experience. But, I know God's Hand is in it and His will shall be done, and I intend on being a good and strong witness to that will.
What do you think of the custom paint job I am considering for my new Deer Guard?...hehehe.

Now that IS pretty Jeff! A great idea to take advantage of the savings while down that way too.
My farm truck is an ‘85 GMC. I’m going to name her Timex cause she just keeps on ticking. Guard like yours would be worth more than my truck. 8D
We have lots of deer here but the only time I’ve had an ‘encounter’ was on a pitchblack night in a mini van on a very curvey road that follows the river. Coming around a bend I see a hump in the road too late to slow down or stop...plowed over the top of an already killed deer...it was pinned under the van for awhile before it broke loose. The van smelled like a good venison roast whenever the exhause system warmed up for quite awhile afterwards. Kids loved it!

Well, frankly, I don’t know how much it will teach them...but it may well spare me and mine significant cost and injury should they do when I cannot avoid them.
