At the rate Congress is going . . .
what with their frequency of spitting in God’s eye . . .
trashing HIS priorities . . .
He may well have one scheduled.

I just put my horse into her turnout from the pasture as I was going into town. She's high-strung anyway and all of a sudden for no reason I could see, she started bucking and kicking just in a panic. All I could do was stand there and go "What the heck is wrong with her now!"
She was going crazy. I'm in southern Oregon. I didn't want to leave her, but had to go. I didn't feel anything but my MIL in the back house felt it shaking
In '94 our dog starting barking wildly and shaking uncontrollably in the early morning. A full 10 minutes later the earthquake struck and nearly toppled the entire house.
One of the structural engineers who examined our house days later said that dogs' sense of smell is so acute they actually smell the gases being released from the earth before the quake hits and they're spooked by the sudden change.
Although our dog also reacts like that to pizza.
Lex Luther's still hoping to turn Arizona into beachfront condos.
weird
Hey Tube! you still there?
I was working at 3Com in Santa Clara during the ‘89 earthquake. I felt the quake and immediately went under my desk. My computer fell of my desk and missed me by and inch. I remember looking outside the window and I could see the Doubletree hotel swaying. I thought the earthquake was done so I went down to the underground garage. The after shock was huge that I saw the pillars of the underground garage swaying, like strings being blown by the wind.
I could see the quake on the streets rolling and then the lights went out. When I got home, the pool was empty of water, and all of it went to my landscaped garden. All the plants died because of the chlorine. The frigde’s door opened and all the contents were scattered all over my kitchen. It was very scary.
Thanks for that link. That's discussing the UC Berkeley paper published in Nature that found effects at depth (correlation with deep seismic ductile tremors) but no correlation in regular earthquakes.
Thank you for the up date on tubebender. I was worried. I reposted this info on the gardening thread, tubebender is a regular there.
that’s right they just took off.
