The Consequences of Obama: Terrorism is Back
Frontpagemagazine ^ | 1-7-10 | Dick Morris

Posted on 01/07/2010 4:45:07 AM PST by SJackson

Rev. Jeremiah Wright said that the “chickens came home to roost” on 9-11. He was wrong. But they have now, indeed, come home to roost as we witness the results of the unilateral disarmament President Obama has practiced in the war on terror. Beset once more by terrorism on our soil and in our airspace, we find ourselves suddenly overmatched by those who the Bush Administration kept away from our shores for seven years.

This new onset of terrorism is not the product of any change in the international environment or some new “systemic” flaw in our intelligence operations. It is due to the policy of President Obama in letting down our guard and inhibiting those charged with our protection.

Under Obama, the hunters have become the hunted as America inverted her priorities. Those who have been working to keep us safe have, themselves, come under scrutiny for profiling, harsh interrogation techniques, and a failure to give terrorists constitutional rights they don’t have.

The result is predictable: Timidity and caution have become the order of the day in our intelligence community. In a world where hunch, guesswork, and a willingness to leap to conclusions by imagining the worst are vital to success, a cover your butt mentality has taken over. If you come to the wrong conclusion, if you profile without adequate justification, if you accuse incorrectly, you are finished. Your career and your pension will be gone. Guess right and you are accorded anonymity. Guess wrong and you’re through.

The failure of the intelligence operatives to pass along the information about the Ft. Hood shooter or the airline bomber did not flow from a blind spot or a lack of co-ordination, they stemmed from terrorism of a different sort — the terror of making a mistake and falling on the harsh mercies of Eric Holder.

Now Nigerian terrorist Umar Farouk Abdulmutall sits, lawyered up, in a federal prison. His interrogation will proceed, if at all, under the watchful eye of his counsel. He will not finger other operatives nor warn us of other impending attacks. He will receive the full panoply of constitutional rights, none of which he is entitled to.

Barack Obama does not seem to understand that these terrorists come here to use our laws and our system, not to protect us, not even to shelter themselves, but to destroy us.

Abdulmutall should be interrogated by the military, without benefit of counsel. The evidence we obtain should not be admissible in a court of law nor used as the basis for his sentencing. But it must be used to ward off future threats and attacks.

But Obama is a true believer. His persistence in downgrading the war on terror to a criminal investigation will continue. And we will experience more and more attacks. Because pessimism is the bodyguard of liberalism, he will explain to us that the world has become more threatening and that he is doing all he can to keep us safe. But the truth will be that it will have been his policies and priorities that are leaving us exposed.

And the attacks will continue.

Because pessimism is the bodyguard of liberalism,

Interesting phrase. He's right, actually; liberalism is based on a very negative, doom and gloom, risk-averse view of the world. Its fundamental assumption is that things have to be bad, things will only get worse without the tender ministrations of government (which is the only force it believes in), and that there is no hope for the future.

I think a lot of people who can't quite put their finger on it are sensing this about the Marxist/liberal world view of the people in power right now, and it's making Americans very uneasy.

the terror of making a mistake and falling on the harsh mercies of Eric Holder ... under direct orders from his boss, the usurper himself, Barry Soetoro/Obama

When will our "intelligence operatives" have enough of this usurper and present his long form birth certificate?

At the risk of sounding UN-PC, they thought that by electing A black president would be sacrifice enough for the USA and would atone for it’s past sins, therefore averting the ‘coming home to roost’ consequences.

They are finding out that it takes more than just the color of a man’s skin.

Electing an INCOMPETANT black man is actually going to do more damage than anything before.

How ‘bout we forget the color of skin and elect a MAN to be the leader of the free world???

We all should think like a terrorist, wherever we go size up your surroundings and judge the amount of death and carnage a terrorist could do there. If such an area deems too unprotected then avoid it, or take pre-emptive precautions.

This includes malls, theme parks, sporting events, churches.

I have called my Congressional representatives and encouraged them to impeach Obama for giving aid and comfort to the enemy. He needs to be tried for treason and hanged.

I thought all the world was supposed to love us now that obama is here. Well, guess again! After 9/11 President Bush and his policies gave us 7+ years of safety with no, repeat no attacks by radical Muslims on the US.

obama has been in office less than a year and we've already had two attacks so far. How's that hope and change thing working odumber? How well is appeasement working? Typical warm/fuzzy lib thinking - it'll be different this time in spite of all of recorded human history.

obama and his cohorts in crime (Napolitano) can't even bring themselves to call it terrorism, favoring instead the ridiculous "man caused disasters." Or, even more to the point, Iraq and Afghanistan are not part of the "war on terror" instead it is the idiotically named "overseas contingency." Well, between Fort Hood and Detroit, it is no longer "overseas" - obama has brought us the home version.

With obama's weak-kneed, limp-wrist approach to terrorists, giving them lawyers, rights, civilian interrogations, and civilian trials we are going to see more attacks on US soil and citizens. These are trained operatives of a foreign organization. This is a military, guerilla style battle plan aimed at us. obama needs to pull his head out of the idealistic clouds, abandon his socialist/fascist big-government agenda for America, and get back to the basics of protecting America and Americans, rather than trying to force his ideas and ideals upon us. Man up obama, we are at war whether you like it or not.

Here's the nut graph IMO...

Under Obama, the hunters have become the hunted as America inverted her priorities. Those who have been working to keep us safe have, themselves, come under scrutiny for profiling, harsh interrogation techniques, and a failure to give terrorists constitutional rights they don’t have.

When zero changed the name from war on terror to man caused disaster, he took the same approach X-42 did and the terrorists got stronger.

zero = Epic Fail

two attacks so far

Three, there was an attack in a Little Rock, Arkansas.

(CNN) -- An Arkansas man was arrested Monday in connection with a shooting at a Little Rock military recruiting center that killed one soldier and wounded another, authorities said.

Police identified the suspect as Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, formerly known as Carlos Bledsoe. Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad -- a 24-year-old Little Rock resident formerly known as Carlos Bledsoe -- faces a first-degree murder charge and 15 counts of engaging in a terrorist act, Little Rock Police Chief Stuart Thomas said. The terrorist counts stem from the shots fired at an occupied building. While authorities continued to investigate a motive, Thomas said Muhammad is a Muslim convert and, based on preliminary interviews with him, investigators believe there were "political and religious motives" in the shooting.

These are excerpts from the article I googled. He is a black muslim convert. After 7 years of no attacks on US soil under Bush, within the first 11 months of BO and his scraping and bowing and dissing America, THREE terriosts attacks so far!
