Why hasn't Osama bin Laden's terror network executed an attack on U.S. soil since 9-11?
Simple, says Dr. Jack Wheeler, creator of an acclaimed intelligence website dubbed "the oasis for rational conservatives": The U.S. has threatened to nuke the Muslim holy city of Mecca should the terror leader strike America again.
On his website, To the Point, Wheeler explains how the Bush administration has identified the potential of wiping Mecca off the map as bin Laden's ultimate point of vulnerability the Damoclean Sword hanging over his head.

Here is a Real and somewhat theoretical question. Suppose, a terrorist attack (bigger than 9/11) happened in the US during Obama's term, and within days it was determined that al-Qaeda or some kind of radical islamic group was responsible for the attack.
Since these terrorists are basically "stateless", that is they could be in Somalia, Yemen, etc., it is then difficult to exact the revenge on a particular country, therefore the Only logical solution is to attack their ideology or religion, which is to attack Mecca, as per Bush's threat!
The question is: will Obama do it? If not, then what kind of solutions do you think he would take?
“The question is: will Obama do it? If not, then what kind of solutions do you think he would take?”
The miserable little puke will apologize profusely.
Obama would never do it, and I seriously doubt if GWB would have done it, either.
He would talk.. and do nothing.
Yes! Excellent. And, no, Obama would not do it.
And they know it.
He’d surrender.
Obama will not nuke anything in the land of his king.
I hope Jack Wheeler is correct and I hope President Bush told Bin Laden and the Saudis just that.
It doesn’t matter what you think, it only matters what Bin Laden thought.
No way would Obama destroy the most important symbol of his religion. Vote me in and I will blow the living hell out of it and remove the Dome of the Rock while I am at it, so Israel can start their new temple.
I’ll need a lot more proof that Bush ever made such a threat to take this seriously. I can’t believe that if he had Bin Ladin wouldn’t have used it as a propaganda bonanza. Doesn’t pass the smell test.
Islam only understands strength through intimidation, any attempts of “peace” only turns their bloodlust up another notch.
Mecca will have to become the Middle East Hiroshima, break the will to fight by overwhelming force.
Surgical strikes does nothing, its the same as taking a magnifying glass to ants around an anthill.
I agree with you Jim.
Better to mow them down in combat; give them repeated object lessons that they cannot defeat us militarily, and continue to interdict their terror ops as often as possible. Devote more resources to the intel fight. Demoralize them through their own repeated failures.
If given an opportunity to meet OBL face to face Øbama would probably bow down and lick the dust.
You’re right; Obama is all talk. I caught part of the White House press briefing. I was really impressed with Jake Tapper of ABC. He asked Baghdad Bob Gibbs what Obama planned to do about Iran now that his end of the year deadline has passed and no progress has been made. Gibbs hemmed and hawed about “working with our international partners” etc. Pure BS. Obama needs to “nut up or shut up” about Iran. I’m sure he will prove himself to be a nutless wonder that only knows how to talk. Hopefully talk radio will pick up the baton and draw attention to the fact Obama’s deadline has passed. I’m sure he prefers everyone forgets the “deadline” he set because Iran wasn’t impressed with his charm like his narcissistic personality thought they would be.
‘It was said’
By who?
What an utterly stupid assertion. GWB never threatened Mecca with anything much less nukes. He could have threatened to use nukes on Bora Bora but doubt he would have done that either as that is using a shotgun to kill a fly.
