Feminist theologian and author Mary Daly, who retired from a professorship at Boston College rather than allow men to take her classes, has died.

One word - Ted Kennedy.
OK, so that's two words.
How many children did she leave? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Holy Crap!! No wonder she was a feminazi. No way she could ever land a man.

Oh, I wouldn’t say that. She was built like a linebacker. I’d say with a flying tackle, she could have landed plenty of men.
She was one professor among thousands.
While she may have been a big deal on that campus, I seldom even hear that campus mentioned by name. I do on occasion, but very seldom.
Her evil influence on the thousands of young people she held power over does concern me.
The fact that she could get away with what she was able to, is a big deal to me.
She was not teaching now. Her death wasn’t out of the ordinary. The report of it is of no significance to me whatsoever.
It’s a non-event.
Once again, I’m not trying to give you a hard time by posting this thread. The fact that the NYT even bothered to cough up a fur-ball over it is news in and of itself.
A left-bear has waddled off into oblivion. Ho hum...
That’s the weird thing about radical feminism, they pretty much buy into that men are genetically defective, which I see as little different than the xenophobic race ideologies like Nazism.
I studied English at the Grad level so I know a fair amount of Academic Feminist names but had never heard of her.
That’s one of the saddest things I’ve ever read.
And to think of all the fondness I possess towards my father, my husband, and my sons.
And in their upside down world - I really shouldn’t. I should “separate”.
Amazing.
Thanks for the mention. She may have been a big deal, even off campus. I don’t really care. She was a lefty wing-nut, and that’s why she’s so revered by the NYT.
It was helpful for you to mention your inside on it, and I appreciate it.
***In womens Heaven, as we speak.***
Every suicide bomber should have 72 of them!
Im a man but I definitely feel sad for ugly women in our society. Ive never made fun of one. Especially the ones that are intelligent and caring women. I wish they could physically excite me but it just doesnt happen.
An ugly man can still capture a womans attention with charisma, intelligence, success, power, etc. A man can greatly improve his attractiveness through hard work. It doesnt always start with good attention but an emotional connection can grow from that.
However, a truly unfortunate looking woman is romantically ignored by men and there is not much she can do to change that.
Id be pissed at the world too
Too many colons, and the word "toward".
OK ... that’s juts nuts. Sheer, stark raving bats-in-the-belfry madder than a March Hare.

A promenent manufacturer of women’s cosmetics back in the 1970s said it best...”There is no such thing as an ugly woman.”
RIP.
