Sen. Christopher J. Dodd (Conn.), a leading Democrat whose political star fell along with the nation's economy, is expected to announce Wednesday that he has decided against running for reelection this November, according to sources briefed on the decision. Dodd, in his fifth term, chairs the Senate Banking Committee. His retirement would be the second such announcement by a Senate Democrat in 24 hours; North Dakota's Byron Dorgan said Tuesday that he would not run this fall.

Too bad, in a way. I think he would have been pretty easy to defeat.

The question is “What do THEY know that we don’t know yet?”
When the rats start jumping off the ship makes me wonder if they aren’t dropping out so they can re-establish themselves somewhere else because the ship is definitely going down....
I worry that maybe they know that the country is headed for dictatorship and they are stepping down now to avoid being the first against the wall when the Obama backed “People’s /SEIU/ACORN Revolution comes”.....

Bet he’ll book a flight to Ireland right after he leaves, and live there. That’s what I would do If I were him. Wish he’d take Senator Frank with him.

Stolen all he could,
helped enslave the nation with tyrannical health care.
Time to take the spoils and retire to that estate in Ireland.
History will not be kind to these traitors.
