Law enforcement sources have confirmed to WCCO-TV that there is a lockdown at Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.
Officials are evaluating security concerns and a partial evacuation of Lindbergh Terminal is underway.
The bomb squad from the Bloomington Police Department has also been called to the airport.

A hazardous substance was found in a piece of checked luggage at an airport in Bakersfield, California, sending two security officers to the hospital and prompting an evacuation of the terminal.

Federal officials have suspended flights going to and from Meadows Field Airport in Bakersfield, California after a hazardous material was found in luggage there.
Suzanne Trevino, a spokeswoman for the Transportation Security Administration, says the material was found in a checked bag Tuesday morning. The discovery closed down the airport around 8:20 a.m., and officials called in a hazardous material crew and bomb squad as a precaution.[...]
...KBAK-TV reported that the owner of the baggage has been detained.
Update:
Two Transportation Security Administration agents were doing a routine swab of a piece of luggage when it tested positive for a hazardous substance, Deputy Michael Whorf, spokesman for the Kern County Sheriff’s Department, told CNN.
The agents opened the bag, and both became nauseated, Whorf said. They were taken to a hospital.
Update II:
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — Two TSA officials said they felt sick after being exposed to some sort of hazardous material Tuesday morning that shut down Meadows Field Airport.
Authorities said they have tested the substance, and it is believed to be hazardous.

A US-imposed freeze on the assets of two Yemeni honey businesses, a confectioner and an individual associated with them has been met with widespread scepticism inside the country.
The US says honey is used to smuggle cash and drugs because customs officials often find it too messy to examine properly. In mid-October two men were arrested in New York on their way to Yemen with boxes of honey containing $140,000 in cash, but they are not thought to be connected with Bin Laden.
