Rep. Ron Paul (R-Tex.) took a shot at Dick Cheney last night, saying the former Vice President wasn't in any position to be criticizing President Obama.
"Well, I think he had his eight years and he's caused a lot of trouble for our country and he perpetuated a war in Iraq that was unnecessary and wrong-headed," Paul said of Cheney on CNN's Larry King Live. "So I would say that it would be best he not be so critical right now."

Had they not done that (and a couple of other things)...
As individuals and fellow Americans...I love Dick Cheney and George Bush. However....
As an American leader...Ron Paul is merely articulating what millions of Americans have observed about our forays in the Mid-East.
As we look around our own land..there is NO reason to be dependent upon foreign energy sources. As the dollar tanks...our NEED to develop domestic energy sources is paramount. As well as to disentangle ourselves from world energy policies that will only grow messier with time...and as we are currently doing, continuing to enrich our enemies financially.
Ron Paul’s an idiot ... and apparently his supporters are in lockstep with him!
“neocon” is the term for “Israel/Jew loving conservatives”.
Maybe but you are just speculating.
Cheney has done quite well when he speaks against Obama and his administrations security failures. He reminds America of the many reasons they were safe before this administration took office.
Isolationism is hugely wrongheaded.
The idea is to wait until the threat is at our doorstep before we act. I guess we should have considered 9/11 a “closed case” as soon as it happened because the perps were dead in the act.
There are people who have all his speeches and comments sourced (I'm unfortunately not one of them :), but I would like you to review the number of times he spoke (and was not covered by the media).
I think you may be surprised.
(Pinging a couple of people who may have the data available to them).
On the other hand, we know that the Republicans in Congress said nothing. Too scared. Too worried about being associated with the 'unpopular' guy. It was disgraceful.

Paul doesn’t seem to understand that liberating the Iraqi’s is crucial to the War on Terror. And yes, there is a very real war being waged against us that we are doomed to lose unless we do things like the liberation of Iraq and Afghanistan...not to mention Iran and Syria. We have made great progress and have forced the terrorists to fight on home ground and foolishly kill their own people. Al Qaeda for example, is not near as respected as they were in 2001. Ron Paul misunderstands the American philosophy, I really do not even consider him a conservative as much as a libertarian.
Thanks, STARWISE. :)
Then why don't bring as many Muslims over here as we can while simultaneously shooting at Muslim relatives left behind? Great idea.
So you support Islamification of the US by immigration?
I believe most Americans, true Americans, not liberals
would tell you that anyone that wants to come to America to
BE AN AMERICAN (not a hyphenated something or other),
is welcome, whilst those that seek to bring their thirdworld hellholistic beliefs are NOT welcome and should stay out.
Dick “I had other priorities in the ‘60s than military service” Cheney
On the other hand, he disengaged from the American public and simply followed his new tone strategy of not replying to his critics. His response to the democrat strategy to tear him down was to not respond. Ex: Richard Clarke. He could have destroyed the man's crediblity so easily, by he, of course I mean his press secretary, or his VP, or any of his aides. He could have done this with any number of the things they claimed, but he remained mute.
Over time, the American public simply decided if he's not going to defend his policies, why should we........
He won a war, then lost it to public opinion.
It was one, of his biggest mistakes, if not his worst. Just my observation.
What a show!
What a joke.
How much freedom have you lost today?
A noob...
Paul was quick to add that he doesn’t necessarily support Obama’s policy, which he sees as a continuation from the last administraiton.
“’They’—they are going to attack us and they’ve declared war against us. And it’s always ‘they’ and ‘them.’ But — but who are they?”
For a Doctor, he is either dense, or a very bad liar.
Why do I get the image in my mind of a yapping little Chihuahua trying to face down a wolf?
Ron Paul and his lemmings are anti war.
Ron Paul has said, we were attacked because we are
occupiers. Calls us Imperial America
Ron Paul is NeoLeft, His Libertarian bunch have the
Code Pinko talking points.
This bunch are also the 9/11 Truthers.
Cheney should consider it an honor to be blasted by
that POS Ron Paul.
