A photograph circulating on the Internet has raised new questions about the officially accepted account of President Obama's birth and early childhood.
The photo shows Barack Obama Sr. at a dock, apparently arriving in Hawaii in 1959, welcomed by Stanley Dunham without his daughter, Ann Dunham.
The photo raises the question whether Barack Obama Sr. had a connection to Stanley Dunham before Ann Dunham supposedly met him in a Russian language class at the University of Hawaii.

Barack Obama Jr. admitted in his autobiography "Dreams from My Father" that his grandfather, Stanley Dunham, introduced him to Frank Marshall Davis, the well-known communist author and journalist from Chicago. The introduction suggested Stanley Dunham was comfortable with close ties to well-known leftists in Hawaii.
On pages 76-77 of "Dreams from My Father," Barack Obama Jr. said Davis "would read us his poetry whenever we stopped by his house, sharing whiskey with Gramps out of an emptied jelly jar."

It may have been his first visit to Hawaii, but we do not know where he came from. There are four people I know of who arrived in Hawaii in the same year.

Minors can’t lose American citizenship. The only way a person born in the US can lose their citizenship is by an affirmative act of renunciation of US citizenship after reaching the age of majority.
Under United States Law the parents of a minor child cannot relinquish the US Citizenship of that child prior to the age of 21 (law at the time) as per the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 or prior to 18 years of age (current law) per the United States Code Title 8 Section 1401.
What other nations do has no effect on US law. As per the 14th amendment to the Constitution: “All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.”

I must amend my post; he visited his sister in Indonesia and went on a big-game hunt (shikar) in Pakistan in 1981. He apparently stayed with the caretaker prime minister. He certainly has some interesting connections throughout his life.

No, people also leave Hawaii with leis on too. To smell Hawaii all the way home... And he is so HEAPED with leis, and Stanley is close to him in this photo, implying close friendship or connection, which is so since Barack Sr. is the father of his grandchild. It just would be overkill for an arrival.

Sorry, but you can’t keep that kind of news, especially in in the 60s, a secret. This is an island where everyone knows everyone else. This was a unique group of students who would have been an even closer knit group. And interestingly, Ann wasn’t around that group. Perhaps it was a one night fling or Sr. was later bought off to provide a last name, but something definitely doesn’t fit.
I've often been curious if she ever used to get angry with him and scream things like she'd been PUNISHED with having him & keeping him --- it is simply such a curious statement for BHO to state that he hoped that neither of his daughters would ever be "punished" with a baby; I suspect there is a long history and private story about that choice of words.

I don’t know how to copy and paste a photo, but the infant photo of Obama in your link looks very much like Frank Marshall Davis. If anyone can post that infant photo next to a photo of Davis it might be very interesting.
I've wonderd if maybe Stanley Dunham, Sr. had a young girlfriend, and that BHO is the half-brother of Stanley Ann and not her son; however, MANY people resemble their grandparents or even great grandparents, so it's not odd that BHO looks so much like his presumed mother Stanley Ann Dunham's father.
There is a baby picture of Barry which has a striking similarity to Davis’s face. The very young will often resemble one parentage line and change to more the other parentage line as they grow to toddlerhood. The picture can be found at Beckwith’s marvelous site, TheObamaFile.
In those days, as it is now, when a step-parent adopts you, your original BC (the vault record) is destroyed and the new parent is listed as the biological parent as if the true biological parent never existed. I've BTDT from both sides, was a clerk who recorded BCs, have seen it doing genealogy, etc. Granted, Hawaii seems to do their own thing, but anywhere else his BC would show Sotoreo as the father and not Sr. as on those fake BCs.
