While the painstaking process of unearthing the "systematic failures" of intelligence on the "underwear bomber" continues, Obama again performs on script. Just as he's done with virtually every past crises - and always while armed with only the bare essentials of information - the now infamous POTUS finger of blame moves away from anyone remotely connected with Obama, his decisions or performance of his appointees, and falls once again on his favorite scapegoat, the CIA.
And the CIA spy chiefs are none to happy about the accusations. It seemed especially harsh when, in an apparent moment of political expedience, Obama was hailing the seven CIA agents slain by a suicide bomber at a US base in the eastern province of Khost 24 hours later.
One day the President is pointing the finger and blaming the intelligence services, saying there is a systemic failure,’ said one agency official. ‘Now we are heroes. The fact is that we are doing everything humanly possible to stay on top of the security situation. The deaths of our operatives shows just how involved we are on the ground.’But CIA bosses claim they were unfairly blamed at a time the covert government agency has been stretched further than ever before in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
They point to the murder of seven operatives at a remote mountain base in Afghanistan’s Khost Province as an example of how agents are putting their lives on the line at the vanguard of America’s far-flung wars.

I have read numerous vacay reports and recall some saying he’d be back in DC on Tuesday, which I found odd considering his daughters’ school vacation schedule. Now Kornblut emphasizes his return trip starting tomorrow is “scheduled.” It doesn’t add up.
He could have cut the trip a day or so short, and quickly padded it with a couple family-friendly photo-ops of dolphins and shave-ice.
I am certain his vacation was supposed to be for 10 days and he got a late start because he waited for the senate vote. He left on the 24 of December, which would put him back in DC on Tuesday.

General Hayden is a great patriot, as are the men and women who serve 24/7 and have to keep secret what they help to prevent- and then get slammed when something goes wrong.
My bet is this whole thing rests on obama’s laissez faire about threat data, inept management at his National Terrorist Center (given even the word Terrorist is non-PC) and some stupid gate agent at Northwest who was racially guilted into passing this terrorist onto the plane as a po’ Sudanese orphan

I've no doubt there are patriots at CIA and those killed in Afghanistan the other day I mourn.
I have nothing but disdain for this so called CiC, but I have memory of the past actions of CIA against my country and their leaks that hindered President Bush trying to keep our country safe after 911, Their actions were despicable.

We are supposed to forget the CIA past when they worked against Bush and praise them when whatshisname throws them under the bus.
I'd be thrilled if the CIA would go after Peelosi and whatshisname but they won't.
Peelosi called CIA liars and hardly a whimper from them.
I'm certainly not defending the POS in the WH.
Who knows, he keeps poking at them with a stick, there may be a "leak" showing up at an inopportune time.
The man is completely inept, and I fear he’s going to get a lot of people killed before his time in office is done.
I agree with you SuziQ, Today I saw a clip he must have done before leaving Hawaii - and I’m telling you, I thought he looked terrified. I think he’s finally “getting it”. He always wants to be “the man”, well now he owns it and it’s starting to sink in (I think) that he could go down in history as the president responsible for killing millions of Americans through focusing on his stupid ideology. I think he has caught so much hell on this one, he may say screw health care for awhile, or is that too much wishful thinking?
Sadly, I think that is wishful thinking. He may think he needs to push health care even harder, since he believes that would be a big victory for him. I think he's WAY wrong on that, but let him keep it up.;o)
It does seem a little far-fetched to normal people that Obama would have CIA agents slaughtered for someone(??) killing Afghan children, but then again I would not put anything past usurper Obama if he thought it would make him look sympathetic to Muslims. The airplane in Hawaii could very well have been a warning. I hope the CIA exposes him and Pelosi very soon.

No, the current thinking is that he had the following progression of legal names:
1) 1961: Barack Hussein Obama [Jr or II]
2) circa 1965/1966: Barry Soetoro
3) circa 1970: Barry Dunham
4) circa early 1980’s: Barack Hussein Obama II

1. Obama was born in Hawaii on Aug. 4, 1961, with the legal name Barack Hussein Obama II, and Barack H. Obama Sr. was identified as his legal father. [NOTE: an alternative theory, that Obama was born in Canada, is still being researched.]
2. Obama was adopted by Lolo Soetoro in Hawaii sometime around 1965-1966.
3. As part of the adoption procedure, pursuant to Hawaiian law, Obama’s original Birth Certificate (BC) was SEALED, and a new Birth Certificate was issued with his new name, Barry Soetoro, and the name of his new father, Lolo Soetoro.
4. Mother and son joined Soetoro in Indonesia, where Barry Soetoro was registered in school as Lolo’s son, a Muslim, and a citizen of Indonesia.
5. After approximately 4 years, Barry Soetoro returned to Hawaii as a U.S. citizen to live with his grandparents, the Dunhams, and attend private school.
6. At some point before his 18th birthday, he most likely changed his legal name back to Barack Hussein Obama, but his Birth Certificate would not have been modified again unless there was another adoption (by the Dunhams, for example).
So….IF the above-stated hypotheses are correct, Obama’s current Birth Certificate in Hawaii would identify him as Barry Soetoro and his father would be Lolo Soetoro (unless, as stated, there was another adoption).
Upon request by the registrant (Sen. Obama), the State of Hawaii would issue a COLB in the name of Soetoro for child and father. Is this why the Senator has avoided showing his Birth Certificate? And is this why — if Polarik and Techdude are correct — the COLB published by Obama has been altered?
