KANEOHE BAY, Hawaii (AP) - President Barack Obama went golfing on New Year's Eve. The president hit the links at Mid-Pacific Country Club in the same Honolulu suburb of Kailua where he's renting a beachfront home for the holidays.

Obama earlier went to Windward Mall in Kaneohe to see a 3-D version of the movie "Avatar" with his daughters and family friends.

They enjoyed a special screening of the movie and had a theater to themselves before regular showings began for the day.

Do we get to know exactly who these friends and family members are?

When he travels there is such an entourage you’d think none of his friends had ever had a free trip to Hawaii or to Europe.

My problem is that he could have gotten a copy to watch in the WH or somewhere else, yet he takes over a whole theater, excluding all those waiting in line outside. Asshat in the first degree. Good to be the King.

I still can’t get over that he never went to church on Christmas. That has to be a first for presidents.

He claims he doesn’t want to disrupt other churchgoers.

He doesn’t mind disrupting people in Hawaii, Cape Cod or London and scaring the heck out of people in Manhattan.

Makes me sick to be defending Zero... but, the article does say, they went to the theater BEFORE the regularly scheduled showings... so, I would assume, there was no one waiting in lines outside.

I realize you are being sarcastic, but does anyone except Chris Matthews think he is a great orator. I find his speeches very choppy and uninspiring. And that’s before I even consider the content.
