American-led troops were accused yesterday of dragging innocent children from their beds and shooting them during a night raid that left ten people dead.
Afghan government investigators said that eight schoolchildren were killed, all but one of them from the same family. Locals said that some victims were handcuffed before being killed.
Western military sources said that the dead were all part of an Afghan terrorist cell responsible for manufacturing improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which have claimed the lives of countless soldiers and civilians.

Thanks for the ping.
This is ridiculous! Sounds like Baghdad Bob found himself a new job in Afghanistan.
Bingo.
Me too and I also am raising the bullsh*t flag on this one. As long as our guys are fighting these evil monsters, I give them 100% of the benefit of the doubt every single time until it’s proven beyond all doubt otherwise.
I’m so very glad I was not born a male and ever in the position our cops and military men get into. The first time I were to come across the dead body of an innocent person murdered by an evil scum-bag, or come face to face with a piece of crap terrorist who tortured to death one of ours, I’d beat him to within an inch of his life and then be hauled off to prison for the rest of my life.
It was probably either American trained Afghan forces or Taliban in American uniforms.
No jury would convict you.
The media eats up on Mai Lai stories.
Do they have American aircraft models to repaint?
US troops don’t carry handcuffs. They carry plastic strap cuffs. Harder to escape from. Everything in the story is too convenient and contradictory. Taliban supporters, most likely.
This whole story sucks and so does the author. Understand that he is a British Lefty. Would like to know more about his leftist background/activities.
Karzai says that the American troops did kill children, some wearing handcuffs. The UN says it was a nighttime raid on a house, which often leads to civilian casualties.
NATO has disputed the accusations, saying the foreigners involved were non-military Americans on a sanctioned operation who fired in self-defence after being shot. But the NSC accepted the findings of the investigation and Karzai's office issued a statement saying: "The meeting of the National Security Council demanded that those responsible for the deaths of those innocent youths must be handed over to the Afghan government." UN special representative to Afghanistan Kai Eide said there was evidence to suggest "eight of those killed were students enrolled in local schools". "There is also evidence to strongly indicate that there were insurgents in the area at the time," he said in a statement.

Are you happy that the children died?
“Are you happy that the children died?”
Yep, if those children are not Americans, and if it means that AMERICANS were not unfairly punished. I have virtually no respect for so-called civilians anywhere except in the US. We should not go out of our way to harm others, but we also should not care if they get hurt in a warfare environment. The Palestinians use THEIR children as human shields (to manipulate the feelings of Western softies)...given that, then sorry to the kids, but don’t blame us, blame your parents.
...and when things get bad enough, that will (again) become Western policy, and the world will QUICKLY become a much more peaceful place.
and when things get bad enough, that will (again) become Western policy, and the world will QUICKLY become a much more peaceful place. But isn't the killing of their children a motivation for more of them to blow themselves up against us?
ONLY 8? With us leaving in 18 months we had really better pick up this pace. No use leaving unfinished business behind.
The head of an investigative team appointed by Afghan President Hamid Karzai told the Associated Press by telephone that eight students between the ages of 12 and 14 were among the dead discovered in a village house in a remote section of Kunar province in eastern Afghanistan.http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091230/ap_on_re_as/as_afghanistan
That’s too bad. I do not believe that our heroes deliberately did that...not in this age of PC “wars”
It is Disinformation.
Be it as it may...far less bad than the millions of Christian kids Muzzie vampires have butchered.
WHAT??
No baby seals?
This place had gone to the dogs!
