Chris Wallace (filling in for Bret Baier)just reported that Fox News confirms that the CIA was tracking Northwest Airlines flight 253 bommber Umar Farouk Abdul Mutallab since August. He did not say more than that.
No wonder Obama spoke out again today about a systemic failure. He knew tis news was going to come out.
This terrorist getting through our defenses is going to be the responsibility of his administration, not President Bush's.
That’s right IMO too. He’s focused on taking over the country with the Socialist, “H” the Communist agenda.

I totally disagree. His capture alive is the worst outcome for the terrorists - worse than him just getting cold feet. They may be crowing about his getting past security, but they have no way of knowing how compromised they are at this point. This will set them back perhaps another year, in my opinion, before they try anything meaningful again. Anything they learned is by accident, i.e., the fuse not being adequate. That thing was designed to go off, not fizzle out. They don't give a crap about passenger response if they know they can detonate a bomb in the process.

This "system failure" (i.e they KNEW) is significant. And Napolitano's brain-dead first response is going to seal her fate as completely irresponsible, and sooner or later, it's going to bring her boss down.
I see your point but can’t agree with you. It was a trial run, and the guy who filmed the WHOLE trip is missing.
The guy with the tape is part of this, and no matter how many xray machines they use...these guys are traveling with these explosives up their butts, and removing once after on the plane. They will just use methods of having 2 of these guys standing in line at the bathroom...first goes in and get the powder, the second goes in and sets it up...
Next attempt will not be to Detroit or coming in from Amsterdam.
I think they are hell bent in making a statement in 2009.

That doesn't make sense. If it's just a test run, there's no reason to light a fire. If they're just rehearsing the "blocking" of the performance, the last thing they want is to end up in custody, and lighting up ten minutes before landing is totally illogical.
