meanwhile, i would recommend that when you see the author’s name anywhere any time, do NOT click. never. save time and energy in doing something to your liking. that just makes sense, doesn’t it?

When I first read that a long, long time ago I thought to myself that in all the United Churches of Christ that I know of—as well as numerous clergy from that like-unto-Unitarianism arch-liberal denomination—I have never known of an altar call being provided at the close of a UCC worship.

The UCC is not known for that kind of thing, particularly that overseen by Jew-and-white-hating cult leader Jeremiah Wright.

Trinity wasn't your typical UCC congregation. It was intended to be a staid, middle class Black church when it was founded in 1961, but so much changed in the Sixties and Seventies that Trinity embraced "Black Power" ideas and a "more African-American" style of worship. That would include things like altar calls, which are mentioned on their twitter page.

Swank doesn't offer what he promises, though. There isn't much about Obama's insanity in the article. Maybe some about Swanks's, though?
