Muslim spokesman: "Muslims won't stand for airport body scanners"
Fox Morning News | 12/29/09

Posted on 12/29/2009 5:43:58 AM PST by pabianice

A Muslim spokesman was interviewed on Fox this AM. When asked if he thought that full-body scanners at airports would improve security, he replied that Muslims would never stand for them because they would show the bodies of Muslim women. The interviewer let that pass without any protest.

We’re putting our 9 year old into the “Young Marines” starting Saturday; she’s enthusiastic and at least she’ll be on the right side of things.

What I’ve witnessed from TSA and airline employees that last few times I’ve flown has outraged me. Last time, there was a man in front of me who missed his 45 min check in time by a few minutes. He tried to explain that he took a wrong turn looking for the car rental return but they made him catch a later flight even though anyone could easily make it from there to anywhere else in that airport within 15 minutes. The slowest walker could. I myself went through hell on this particular flight but that would take a page of writing to tell the story. While waiting in the terminal near my gate (after my flight was delayed by 3 hrs) I overheard two employees just laughing and laughing about a little, old man who just got told he had to wait until a flight the next day because he missed his 45 min check in by a few minutes. This was a different airport so it wasn’t the same man. Apparently, some of these employees take great pleasure in the madness they put us through. Thrills and fun for some of them. I gave them a look of disgust and they could tell I overheard them and looked at me kind of surprised so I loudly made a comment about them. They looked pretty embarrassed and I don’t think they expected someone to loudly call them out on it. Flying has become more painful than going to the dentist for a root canal.

Seems like I have been telling the government to back off for several years and they haven't heard me. Too many people have “stayed home” or “voted their principals” for somebody no one had ever heard of or “gone 3rd party” and split the vote.

I am not pointing fingers at you because I don't know you but unless we stick together we will never survive and body scans at airports will be the least of our problems.

I’m not sacrificing my freedom at ALL. I’m preserving it, which is why I don’t let TSA goons touch me.

Well if this comes to pass, the airlines and TSA better not give Muslims an exemption. That is exactly what I would expect. That this govt would force the airlines to exempt the muslims. I couldn’t believe how I was singled out the last few times I’ve flown. I am in no way intimidating looking. 5’3” housewife wearing shorts, tee shirt and flip flops. Never said anything remotely suspicious or against any rules. Just going through the motions putting my bags on the belt and such. This woman starts yelling at me to go to the extra security line. I go through that air blowing machine and she pats me down as though she was freaking molesting me. I told my husband later that I never felt so much like a common criminal in my life. I swear my name must be in some database and I’m marked as a right-wing extremist or something because it defies logic that I’ve been singled out for extra screening 4 out of the last 4 times I’ve flown. And I sure am no threat to the govt or to anyone. Just a conservative so that makes me the enemy.

It used to be fun but now it’s an ordeal. I don’t have any personal experiences but I’ve heard so many!

I’m pretty confident that my kids are heading in the right direction also. My oldest son makes fun of me for being too liberal and I’m not liberal in the least. I believe in being extremely charitable because of my Christian faith and he sees me as being taken advantage of my undeserving people. I tell him that if I am being deceived, that is between the one deceiving me and God. All of my kids have really good heads on their shoulders, hang out with good kids who get good grades but who are also athletes. My boys are totally against drugs and every other sort of negative peer pressure they’re bombarded with. I’m very proud so far.

Well, they can’t take that bus: it has an image of a dog on it! An image! It encourages idolatry! And of dogs, which are unclean! That bus is haram!!

"Muslims won't stand for airport body scanners"

Then sit down to be scanned, or use your flying carpet.

Even more convoluted when Mr Taliban thinks Mrs Taliban brought shame to the family when she was scanned by TSA.

We all know how Mr Taliban and Mr Muslim restore honor.

For a religion of peace, they have more reasons for killing innocents than flies on shit.

We don't fly much anymore (thankfully) but I would certainly be outraged if I was singled out every time. Flying used to be fun and exciting, now it is pure torture. We don't have anymore overseas travel planned and time is not a issue, so we will drive.

Trouble is that in America’s worship of PC and cultural diversity, the Muslims will be allowed to board without the scan, but the rest of us will be forced to do it. Result: Air travel becomes even more grueling and invasive for the good guys, and terrorism will increase. Air travel will dwindle.

I guarantee the Muzzies will be exempted; how else will Hussein’s buddies be able to accomplish their/his goals?

At what point will the airlines recognize they’ve reached the point of diminishing returns and take a stand against this ridiculous political correctness?

There should be no security at the airport.

Instead, the Departure Lounge should be locked 30 minutes before takeoff, everyone should be given a number, and a ballot, and a poll should be taken of all the passengers and crew. They get to decide who should not be on the flight for safety reasons.

The ballots are a plain sheet of paper. Write the numbers down of the people you believe should not fly today. As many as you like.

They all get collected, then counted. If someone’s number comes up on three different ballots, they don’t fly on that aeroplane. They get to wait until the next one, where the ballot happens again.

Problem solved. No Muslims flying anymore.

That is until some idiot Democrat decides that Flying is a right granted by the Constitution and not a privilege and then we will have problems.

I haven’t flown commercial in 8 years, nor will I unless profiling becomes legal and commonplace.
This country is fouled up because people don’t want to make the slightest temporary sacrifice for its betterment. Who wants to spend more money or more time for any benefit to the nation? Boycott. Homeschool. Run for office. Protest. Buy American. Vote.
The sheeple will submit to strip search and body scans. Meanwhile the muslims will get a religious exemption.
