Where's Obama?

Four days late, Barack Obama will interrupt his Hawaii vacation and finally speak to the nation today about the Christmas Day terror attack on America. However, he will be hiding from the American people and a media that might (might) ask uncomfortable questions by releasing a taped statement rather than making a live address.
Reports are that he will tape his remarks at the nearby Marine base he has been using for his gym workouts, golfing and beach outings. Obama is staying at a $8.9 million estate that rents for an estimated $4000 per night.
The White House Web site still has not posted any statement by Obama or anyone from his administration about the attack. Late last night the administration updated WhiteHouse.gov for the first time since Christmas Eve with a statement by Obama on the passing of Percy Sutton and one by the National Security Council on the protests in Iran. But still no word on the attempted massacre of 289 innocents on Northwest Airlines flight 253.
The Obama media is parroting the Obama spin that his above-it-all response to the attack is smart strategy, yet it is actually giving the American people the idea that Obama doesn't care enough about the country to take five minutes in four days of fun in the sun to do his job.
Releasing a taped statement will only add to the appearance of distance between Obama and the American people.
President Bush would NEVER have waited three days to address this issue. The fact that Zero can’t interrupt his vacation should outrage every American.

I think “we” know why Obama has been silent and I suspect his adoring press corps also know that his administration missed the red flags on this terrorist and that there’s no legitimate way Obama can blame President Bush.

My guess is that the mainstream media will continue to ignore, underreport and/or distort that aspect of the story. Sorta like their reaction to the tea parties.
But are we sure it’s a terror attack? We don’t want to be jumping to conclusions or anything...

The only scheduled event during President Obama's Hawaii vacation so far will happen shortly after 1pm (est) today when he breaks his silence about the attempted terrorist act on Christmas Day. White House officials tell us that Obama will talk to a small pool of reporters about the steps he is taking in the wake of the failed attack. He will make the statement at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii--the military installation located about five minutes from the Presidential vacation home.
The later pool report said 10 a.m. Hawaii time (3 p.m. EST.) Like you said, we'll see. Apparantly Obama can't even make up his mind as to when to speak. Must be another busy day at the beach.

I have in the past few days directed my administration to do a fundamental review of all of them to ensure that the public will be fully protected under any circumstance. I cannot tolerate anything else, and I don’t want in the future to have to interrupt my vacations to address these kinds of issues, especially when it is the previous administration policies that have created them in the first place.”

What is the mystery about the timing of this videotaped statement? Are they trying to spin this as an imminent threat to the life of Obama?
George Bush has class; he recognized the importance of his office and his duties thereunder. He stayed faithful to his promise to uphold, defend and protect the Constitution.
This guy only cares about himself and whether a particular event will benefit HIM in some way.
I do agree with you: the narcissistic punk is likely to try to place blame on the previous administration. He's too gay to try to man-up.
He and his family and friends ain’t giving up their all expenses paid 500th vacation for anyone; especially his country.
Don’t forget: Closing beaches for his use.
