There I was, watching the perfectly harmless Meineke Car Care Bowl, when a truly creepy Government Motors commercial for the Chevy Silverado pickup broke out . . .
GM spokesman, and former NFL player, Howie Long is not-so-subtly comparing the merits of the Silverado with an intimidated, younger, Ford F150 owner.

LOL: I’ve seen that one, too. Hey, at my age, I’ll take it as a compliment to have any hair.

The commercial I saw for Dodge has a rather deadpan voice over that seems odd. REALLY odd once you figure out it’s the guy who plays (and does narration on) “Dexter.”
Dodge, the choice of serial killers.

Me too, I have A Dodge Ram now and it’s a total piece of crap. It’s always one damn thing after another with that POS. We also have a Crown Vic, best vehicle we’ve ever had, hands down!

“and sometimes a cigar is just a cigar”
And sometimes it ain’t!
Both guys holding a tape measure.
After having his truck put down, one guy’s tape measure disappears into nothingness.
Could it really be any less subtle?

Rats! And then there’s the commercial with Howie and the little girl...This upsets me - looking at him is the only reason I don’t mind watching football all day Sunday.

When my hubby and I were shopping for a ‘yard truck’ this summer.....you would NOT believe the # of Chevy’s we saw on the lots. That speaks volumes. We ended up buying a Ford.

My Toyota Tacoma will kick the @ss of any GM truck. My last Toy carried over 1/2 ton payloads whenever I needed it to and, in over 13 years of service, besides routine costs and maintenance, I only replaced a starter. She still serves me by hauling manure even with a cracked frame and a classic car plate (20+ years).
Is it any wonder I bought a new Toyota over a GM product this year?
