The italicized portions of my post are quotes from the article.
You’re arguing against the article, not me.
I didn’t say that his links to AQ were unconfirmed THE ARTICLE DID!!!
First off, BASED ON THE ARTICLE...there was only about 60-90 minutes from the landing to the initial briefing.
Second, if there had been 3 hour delay, so what? The attack was stopped, the man was in custody, the investigation was already underway and despite claims to the contrary, internal security measures were tightened up. The LEO and counter terrorism folks were doing their jobs without Obama having to tell them to.
Obama would have nothing to add to the scenario. Nothing.
His “need to know” is strictly a vanity issue.
“Need” to know? Why? He doesn’t add value to the process. It is strictly so he has something to say in press conferences.
Obama’s participation was not needed.
Now how you and the dozen or so morons who think I’m defending Obama can arrive at those assumptions out of that then I don’t know what your problem is but I’ll bet it is hard to pronounce.
Your above assessment of your post #307 is contradicted by your own unitalicized words, but don't let the facts stand in your way.
As I said(two things) both which are correct:
1.) A foreign national who is on a U.S. government watch list of people with suspected terrorist ties to Al Qaeda, gets on a plane headed to the U.S. and attempts to blow the plane up over U.S. soil.
2.)The CIC should be informed ASAP whenever our country is under attack.
So don't lecture me, telling me I'm ignoring a crappy article that is wrong.
And don't lecture me about the 90 minutes vs. 3 hours controversy. I gave no opinion on which was the case. I simply said that the president(whatever was the case) should be notified ASAP.
and the Govt never knew if more attacks were pending
and as for your post saying how the people who sent this guy to do this knew that it would not blow up the plane is just plain stupid.
For 8 years I worked in the military with explosives and I am telling you the amount he had and what he had was enough to blow the plane up
