State Sen. Anthony D. Galluccio has failed random alcohol tests - blaming his toothpaste - while on home confinement less than a week after pleading guilty to a hit-and-run crash in Cambridge.
A judge could rule as early as tomorrow if the Cambridge Democrat should be sent to jail for violating terms of his sentencing.
Galluccio pleaded guilty Friday to an Oct. 4 hit-and-run accident that injured two people, including a 13-year-old boy.

I know that others in the country probably cannot believe that somebody like this could be elected to public office, but the sad truth is that if an election was held tomorrow, this guy would win in a landslide because, well, he is a Democrat and this is Massachusetts.
If a Republican legislator did 1/10th what this guy did, he'd be run out of office and thousands of angry MADD and NOW types would be outside his office with picket signs until he resigned.
But if your name is Teddy Kennedy, Barney Frank or John Kerry, you are allowed to abuse women, abuse alcohol and abuse the Constitution at will so long as they support abortion and homosexual marriage.
