The Democrats have consistently cultivated a public image as the party of the little guy, the party that stands up against big interests and protects the rights of minorities. You would think that a program that helps minority students, lowers costs, and increases funds for public schools would be right up their alley. You would be wrong.
The Democrats in Congress have essentially killed Washington D.C.s Opportunity Scholarship Program effectively throwing nearly 2000 disadvantaged students back into one of the worst school systems in the country. The very popular program had a long waiting list and has strong support in the community is now being de-funded. The fact that the program had a record of academic and financial success made no difference.

In fact THAT was the problem with the program.................
That’s OK, though, the voters in D.C. will continue to vote 100% Democrat ‘til the cows come home.

Hans Christian Andersen and the Brothers Grimm couldn’t have come up with a bigger fairy tale.....
RNC SHOULD MAKE A VIDEO AND POST IT ..... IT WOULD BE VIRAL
They are all like my visitor this week-end. When I turned on FOX to watch their show on Global Warming last night, (after watching what she wanted all week-end), she got mad and said I don't want to watch that boring old thing. She is the same person who when Obama got nominated said to me "Well it is about time". You can't talk politics to her because she just says I don't care. So the people in DC vote based upon word of mouth or color of skin with no idea on the consequences. Dumbing down the school system just promotes more of this.
They say that the government shouldn't be giving out vouchers because then some people might use it to go to a religiously affiliated school...
But the problem with that argument is that government money is already used to send kids to religiously affiliated schools all the time in the from of college loans and grants, which can be used at any school.
A person has to oppose these Democrats every day, in every lawful way. They have no principles to speak of.
Some of his kids classmates are in this program are they not?
Please look at this carefully...these were a disadvantaged, largely black group of children...the point being ..this is how they treat “their own”.....harbor NO illusions about what is to come....
Great point!
Sorry, I’m assuming everyone knows I’m talking about Bambi’s kids.
Obama voters need to understand they just as much sacrifices as anyone else.
They voted in Homo marriage and have no problem destroying the future of the children benefiting from the voucher program.
Hey, all that's important is Sasha and Malia get their upper echelon private education. Other kids who deserve a better chance are dumped for the sake of the union. The rest of the kids who deserve a chance have to the back of the bus.
Sorry kids, the truth is the Dems don't care about really helping you or giving you the opportunity for a successful future. It's all lip service to them...You are no value to those in control.
Thats OK, though, the voters in D.C. will continue to vote 100% Democrat til the cows come home.
They vote for it , they own it..
have to the back of the bus=have to go to the back of the bus
Even if if they to start voting for Republicans, we would not see it in the vote tallies. Residents would just think they're in the minority and not resist too hard when activists tell them to suck and up and get with the program.
In a system where one side only flouts every moral compass, it's not who votes, but who tallies the votes.

I'd rather someone with some credibility did it....maybe Sarah Palin.
