Boycott Nebraska.
Me | 12/20/04 | Me

Senator Nelson of Nebraska cut a special deal. In exchange for agreeing to allow government funds be used for abortions, he got a special deal for Nebraska. The special deal was that Nebraska would not have to pay matching funds for Medicade. All the other 49 states must pay matching funds. Many of those state like my own state of California can not afford to pay those matching funds.

Who pays for Nebraska's Medicare casts? All of us who live in the other 49 states. BS, I say. We should not stand by while Nebraska sucks money from all the rest of us.

BOYCOTT Nebraska! We should not give them any additional revenue after they got this sweet heart deal.

I think that dumbass Ben believes that medicare will be around and will not change under obamacare but since Ben was an ignorant POS governor and is not any better as a senator it was easy to put it over on him. That aside, I don’t believe that it is constitutional to exempt a single state or even to exempt congress from obamacare; another thing Ben isn’t smart enought to think through.

I lived next door to Nebraska for nearly twenty years, and the only thing that they care about is Husker football. If you have ever been to Nebraska, there is nothing there worth boycotting. It is basically a flat land with lots of corn, soybeans, cattle and pigs. I would suggest boycotting the Holiday Bowl in San Diego, CA, Dec 30. If you are in the area, picket outside the stadium. Let people know how you feel about Ben Judas Nelson.

I have got a better idea. Transfer all the non paying, medicaid people that have non emergent conditions to Lincoln Nebraska. Just load up the busses, give them tickets and tell them that medicine is free in Nebraska. If you get sick, move to Nebraska. If you're on disability, move to Nebraska. If you're a drug addict... move to Nebraska.

Just give them that "special" deal that they gave the rest of the country.

F#@k Nebraska and F#$k Democrats.

There’s nothing to buy from here anyway. All the businesses have escaped the ridiculous taxes and moved to NC. The rest of us just sit around in our huts and live off the land. Of course we have to pay property taxes on our huts and taxes on every squirrel we shoot. So while your senator is a d***head and it is fun to ridicule someone else’s state, our senators and state government are 10 fold worse.

Rush is right. There are no moderate Demcrats.

Nelson and Landreau are simply Dems that hold out for more payoff than other Dems. There so called moderate moniker is really just a diguise.

Democrats are ALL evil, anywhere you look

Let he without sin cast the first stone. 60 other senators are voting for this abomination, many of them doing cart wheels while doing it. Support for obamacare in Nebraska is probably the lowest of all the states. I've never seen so much outrage here. Today our family got together and Nelson came up. To keep a long story short my sister-inlaw stormed out the room after trying to defend the democrats to shouts of “if the truth hurts!” In short nelson is not Nebraska. Nelson is democrat party.

Well how much longer is Oriental Trading Company going to be around? The founder’s son gambled away $127 million. He alone accounted for 5.6% of Harrah’s Entertainment Inc’s revenue for one year.

In order to boycott Nebraska I’d need to have a reason for going in there in the first place.

I will be frank. I have not been in Nebraska since our family "tour of the West" in 1964. It is extremely unlikely that my business will ever take me there.

A declaration of a boycott of Nebraska from me means nothing at this point. Unlike Sony, whose idiot idea of planting DRM rootkits from their music CDs not only means I will never buy another Sony music CD, it means I will NEVER again buy another Sony product -- the first such expenditure meant a few hundred dollars passed up Sony for a competitor's camera.

Sony may make great products, but you invite their products into your life at your peril. I say, "No way."

Before you boycott Nebraska, how about boycotting states where TWO dumbass Senators voted for this Piece of crap.

Nebraska only had one idiot voting for it.

What about States like California, Minnesota, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, New Mexico, Washington, etc.?
