Senator Nelson of Nebraska cut a special deal. In exchange for agreeing to allow government funds be used for abortions, he got a special deal for Nebraska. The special deal was that Nebraska would not have to pay matching funds for Medicade. All the other 49 states must pay matching funds. Many of those state like my own state of California can not afford to pay those matching funds.
Who pays for Nebraska's Medicare casts? All of us who live in the other 49 states. BS, I say. We should not stand by while Nebraska sucks money from all the rest of us.
BOYCOTT Nebraska! We should not give them any additional revenue after they got this sweet heart deal.
Reid might not even be duly elected from NV. Obama wasn’t bk during the caucuses (sp?).
My pleasure, Grampa Dave my Freeper friend.
If it would make you all stop hating Nebraska, I would sneak over to Ben’s house (if I knew where he lived and if Obama has’nt already deployed SEIU and Acorn snipers and brownshirts to defend it) and leave ol Governor Flintstone (thats what we used to call him) a nice stinky, brown corn and nut filled present on his front step for Xmas. I guess that would reciprocate what he did to all of us. Then again, after Friday it would be covered with 15 inches of snow and ice so he probably wouldn’t find it ‘til spring anyway......
Glad I could give you a chuckle- BRC
Here’s some companies you can boycott from the comfort of your own state: Omaha Steaks, Cabela’s, Nebraska Furniture Mart, Poppycock snack, Oriental Trading Company, ConAgra Foods (Healthy Choice and Chef Boyardee products to name a few), Werner Trucking, Union Pacific Railroad, Mutual of Omaha and Dorothy Lynch Salad Dressing. I think if America boycotts Nebraska, MAYBE in the future these corrupt politicians would be afraid to take these sweetheart deals that buy their votes.
52 Berkshire-owned companies in countless industries are listed at:
http://www.berkshirehathaway.com/subs/sublinks.html
In addition to these 52, Berkshire Hathaway is in the process of acquiring Burlington Northern Railroad, and owns significant stakes in other large household name corporations such as Coca Cola, American Express, General Electric and others.
The beauty of the Berkshire Hathaway conglomerate as a boycott target is that almost everyone already buys products and services from them directly or indirectly, so almost everyone who wishes to participate in a boycott can effectively do so. The conglomerate's headquarters are located in Nebraska and it is run by an insurance tycoon who supports Obama, so there are meaningful ties, on several levels to this Nelson-Reid-Obama fiasco. And finally, the subsidiary companies are headquartered all over the place, so you can find Nebraska-based Berkshire's subsidiaries that are based in other states whose senators support Obamacare, like my state of Washington.
I support and encourage boycotts, and especially activities that generate publicity to grow a boycott.
