Non-stop Rosary vigil to defeat ObamaCare
Posted on 12/19/2009 5:17:02 PM PST by giotto
The 60 votes are there for ObamaCare to pass in the Senate. The only thing preventing a vote is a blizzard in Connecticut, where Joe Lieberman went home for Sabbath. So you might say that God is the reason, both for sending Joe home and for sending the snow storm.
I'm beginning to think that it will take a miracle to stop this massive take-over of the health care industry. So I propose an ongoing Rosary vigil. How it works is that I begin by saying a Rosary. When I finish, I reply to this thread. Hopefully, someone else will then take up the vigil and pray. If you decide to join us in prayer, please reply to this thread. It doesn't have to be a whole Rosary. It can be one decade, or even just a Hail Mary. Comments are welcome.

Praise be the Lord.
Senator Sessions met with the director of the CBO last night.
Senator Session to hold press confernece within the hour.
CBO director says the bill is NOT deficit neutral. In fact, it increases the deficit.

We did it once. The miracle we prayed for in the dark hours of December was realized when Scott Brown took Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat. It’s time to ask for yet another miracle. Nancy Pelosi and Obama are absolutely determined to use any means necessary to see that this bill becomes law. Let us pray, fervently and continuously, that ObamaCare be defeated now and forever.

An Affront to the Graciousness of God
... God is present, and from his presence streams all grace, all loveliness, all joy. Paul draws a very practical conclusion from this: Nothing must make you anxious (Phil 4:6). Were God absent, had God not yet come in His Christ and in the gift of His Holy Spirit, we would have reason to worry, reason for anxiety, and for fear. Worry and anxiety are an affront to the graciousness of God, a denial of His nearness to us, a turning from Him who has turned His Face towards us. Self-indulgence in fretting and anxiety is a sin that does not often appear on the radar screen of our consciences, and so it is a sin that, more often than not, goes unconfessed.
A thousand reasons not to follow the Apostles mandate come to mind. It is easy to listen to the voices of our fears, our insecurities, our need to arrange, rearrange, and attempt to control even things beyond our control. The Apostle says, Have no anxiety about anything, but we hold ourselves excused, saying, Is not a little anxiety, just a little bit of worry reasonable and right? Saint Paul is not moved by our rationalizations. Nothing must make you anxious (Phil 4:6).

I am amazed at how many are people are praying, I am sure that the heavenly hosts are astounded by the roar coming from their earth bound brethren. All creation (with the exception of a few in DC) singing his praises, something big is about to break all of these prayers will not go unanswered.
Keep Praying the Rosary!

I can’t keep up with you! I got interrupted in the middle of Rosary #1, and I just now finished it. I decided to pray instead of listening to talk radio while I was cleaning out the garage, and I was amazed at how much more energy I had.

Not to take anything away from Father Robert Reed, but I like listening to the Rosary prayed by Greg and Jennifer Willits (from Rosary Army) here:
