Scooby snacks?

I just spent this afternoon baking my homemade biscotti with the holiday recipe of vanilla and anise seed. I may have to bake some more before Christmas.

If I could get real Italian ricotta here in Seattle, I'd make my late mother's Italian cheese pie, but that requires actually making a pie crust. When I tried it back in '98 with my cousin's assistance, you should have seen the look my mother gave me when she tried my first attempt at a crust. We both apologized, and my mother said, "Well, I'll let it pass this time."

That put me in my place.
