Sarah Palin cuts vacation short
Politico ^ | December 17, 2009 | Mike Allen

Posted on 12/18/2009 10:46:07 AM PST by CedarDave

Sarah Palin announced Thursday night that she ended a Hawaii vacation early because of the ruckus raised after she blacked out "McCain" on her sun visor in an effort to elude paparazzi.

~~snip~~

"Todd and I have since cut our vacation short because the incognito attempts didn't work and fellow vacationers were bothered for the two days we spent in the sun. So much for trying to go incognito."

That’s right. She and her children spent most of the month of August in San Diego while she was writing her book. I wish I would have known at the time, because I was in town for the month too. :)

Sarah’s twitter from 12 hours ago:

And what the heck, here’s the next 3 tweets:

“Countdown less thn wk 2 go b4 Christmas hope youll make time to get outdoors, stretch legs, breathe winter air&find peace/joy n seasons beauty

Upon rtn2 AK glad2hear Legislr fights Fed’s”Endangered Species Act”listing w/all-out effort!Fed’s efforts 2 stymie r devlpmnt is unaccptable

I saw the article first on the Fox News website and was going to put it up as from Fox, but clicked the link to read the whole article and it was from Politico. I ended up scratching Fox from the source just before I posted the thread.

No prob on the tweets, guys.

But you don’t have to get the tweets on your phone. I don’t.

Just go to her tweets on the web:

http://twitter.com/SarahPalinUSA

You don’t even have to sign up for twitter to read them.

‘course, you won’t know when she sends another one, so you’ll just have to keep checking the site. That’s what I do ...

I’m sure there is a billionaire like Bebe Repozo among her supporters who can offer her lovely anonymous vacations.

* * * * * *

“Pallin’ around with billionaires” - the libs would have a field day with that.
This is the trouble with a “just folks” image, it’s not realistic after you’re a public figure, celebrity and millionaire several times over.

Palin had better learn fast on dealing with the media.

Palin could easily have the same problems as Erin Andrews while traveling.

I bet the paparazzi was hoping to photograph Palin in a bikini. Since she didn’t wear a swimsuit on the beach, they had to settle for the visor.

She was photographed precisely as she wanted to be.

Plain ordinary grey T shirted mom

She is the common folk

No muscled physique, no wind sailboard, no sleek fishing boat.

The RINOS on this thread are the first to believe and give credence to the liberal storyline.

It sick how many liberals are posting here.

This is great: It’s the “Redneck Woman” thing to do.

She’s appealing to her base! Is this not what her base would do?

Thank goodness this cancer charity passed on the chance to make a windfall in an effort to placate some dope smoking DUmmies. I wonder how well the professional complainer business is paying these days. I am sure it’s enough that mr underhill would make a mint.

Upkeep?

Don’t believe I mentioned upkeep in my response about her cutting and running from things.

The article mentioned going somewhere to "get some sun" and relax.

I was being facetious. Shemya is almost out at the end of the Aleutians. When I was there in the mid 70s, the record high was somewhere around 60 degrees, but the record low was 12. Sunshine, however, is limited. My brother said that Adak had 7 days of sunshine a year. I am sure it is about the same on Shemya. Both Adak and Shemya are former military bases and I am not sure an ordinary civilian can go there.

For relaxation one could look for the 54 or so species of wild flowers found on Shemya although they would be hard to find this time of year. I doubt if laying on the beach was ever very popular there.

I had hoped to get back there to see if I could find the P-38s that might be buried between the old runways, but that was not to be.
