"I don't see voting for the current bill that is on the floor, even with the improvements that have been made," Collins said. "I'm very leery of the impact of nearly $500 billion in Medicare cuts, particularly the cuts in home health care, which are completely counterproductive to the goal of lowering costs."
Collins explained that she is continuing to work on the bill not because she intends to vote for it but because, "I think something is going to pass, and I would like to make that bill as good as possible, even if ultimately it's not a bill that I can support."

Hey Susan, if you need Olympia’s phone number, just let me know.
Am listening to John Batchelor on WABC
he is on 7 evenings a week.
Just had on a person from the Hill going over the vote situation.
I don't see why there isn't a gathering of all the Repubs on the steps of the capitol building with cameras running and see some kind of public demonstration about what is going on.
They seem quite content to let one or two people go on the talking head shows and say, "Well this just isn't right.", and leave it at that.
I wanna see screaming and shouting, finger pointing, name calling and damning to hell going on.
I have no idea what’s in the bill to be able to answer you about what the reconstruction would entail. Nobody has read it.
It’s looking like The Once won’t be getting his Christmas present, but he has to have his prized legislation before the SOTU lie-fest.
What a mess. I wish they’d recess and go home. They’re ruining Christmas. I’m sure we would all like to relax and have time away from ugly politics that our threatening our very liberty.

If they were really going to do that, then why drop the public option and the expansion of Medicare provisions? Surely they would have had 51 votes even with those provisions in the bill. If they go nuclear, might as well put those provisions back in.
I’m wondering what is the actual time line of the Collins comment? Rush said today on his show that Collins had said in a T.V. interview just before his show went on the air that she would be able to support the bill because of some work that Sen. Joe L. had done. Rush pretty much wrote her down as supporting it at that point, I thought.
Which of the comments did she make last? Is she, or is she not, supporting the bill?
Oh yeah - rebellion is brewing and I think we’re ready, right?
I’m not really sure I’m ready. Events have way of getting us ready in a hurry, though.
Did the person from The Hill mention Feingold, Sanders and Burris?
They’re playing to their fans at Huffington/Puffington and KOS, both of which want them to vote against the bill because of the concessions Reid made -— dropped public option and expansion of medicare.
You’re sure right about that. Events dictate. I’ll be ready at a moment’s notice.
Where’s the video of the picture in #14?
Until the Republicans in Washington get out in front of every camera that has a red light on it and scream, turn red in the face, call every Democrap an SOB and worse this will go on.

Jim Demint came out today and said the the Dems “drank the Kool-aid” adding that they are even willing to walk the plank to see Obamas plan rammed through Congress.

Hopefully more will join with MUCH more stern language - as you suggest.
I’ve lived in Maine for a long time and I have never heard the term “Coy Collins.”
Her unusual speech pattern is just that....an unusual speech pattern. I’ve never heard anyone else talk the way Susan Collins talks. It’s not an accent. There is such a thing as a Maine accent but she does not have one.
As for the good people of Maine, we have lousy choices for federal offices in the state, especially for the U.S. Senate. Every time the democrats run a candidate opposite Snowe or Collins, that democrat is so left-wing that Collins and Snowe look like conservative Republicans in comparison, which they are not. I’m mean really, the democrats have run some real moonbats....Cindy Sheehan types...for the senate.
Once in the past, I wrote the name of my local sheriff on the ballot when Snowe ran for re-election. That’s what I plan to do in the future when these two dames are up for re-election; write in the name of someone worthy for the seat. Snowe is up in 2012 and Collins in 2014.
Translation: Reid has his 60 votes so he can provide me some cover.
What a mess. I wish theyd recess and go home. Theyre ruining Christmas.
++++++++++++++++
Talk about the Grinch who stole Christmas! It’s what they’re good at...ruining stuff, nations, districts, lives...they are truly RATS.
I just love it when these jackasses come up with lame excuses! Collins is running away from the bill because the polls show that 63% of the voters don't want it. And I don't know what is up with Old Joe Libberman? He allowed himself to be used as the punching boy for the far left to walk away from the bill too!
Its looking like The Once wont be getting his Christmas present

That’s actually a good thing... the more we delay this, the better.
I am very surprised.
No. HuffPo always has a odd stance besides being their Liberal self.
Most don’t know about Arianna and the cult she has been involved with.
