Sen. John McCain (R., Ariz.) tells NRO that he is disappointed with how Sen. Joe Lieberman (I., Conn.) has been treated by the Left. Im sorry to see how some Democrats and liberals have attacked him in such ferocious fashion, says McCain. No one should question Senator Liebermans integrity or principles.
McCains comments follow Liebermans announcement on Sunday that he will not support the Senates Obamacare bill in its current form. Since then, Lieberman has been attacked by many liberal bloggers, such as the Washington Posts Ezra Klein, who writes that Lieberman seems willing to cause the death of hundreds of thousands of people in order to settle an old electoral score.
Senator Lieberman has a long record of standing up for what he believes in and is acting accordingly, says McCain. From the beginning, he has made his concerns about this health-care bill very clear. He articulated that a government option or any option that led to a government takeover wasnt acceptable. Unlike many in Washington, hes matching his actions to his rhetoric.

You ran; you lost; go away.
Wasn’t ole Joe the deciding vote in yesterdays atrocious vote of over another trillion dollars added to the deficit? I feel like attacking him from the right.
Lieberman’s integrity and principles regarding the war against muslim facism is admirable. However, his domestic agenda leaves much to be desired IMHO.
My thoughts exactly.
Lieberman WAS the deciding vote on Saturday’s massive spending bill.
It sucks but we’re just gonna have to put up with this BS. Lieberman will be with us on some votes and not on others.
If he stands his ground and doesn’t vote for cloture on the health care bill, that’ll be a tremendous plus.
“You ran; you lost; go away.”
Err, exactly WHO has your blessing for joining the fray.
If Lieberman stands against government health care and McCain supports him, I say more power to them both.
LIEberman and McCain share the same principles.
expedient at best
I think Lieberman wants to help McCain by not supporting the health care bill.
The GOP wants to use opposition to the bill to get us on their side and support McCain’s re-election.
By opposing Obama’s “heath care” they have miraculousl become conservatives and are no longer RINO’s.
I think Lieberman is sticking his neck out for his old buddy McCain on that issue.
Boo Hoo Boo Hoo!!
Meantime, what are they doing with the REAL healthcare bill that they actually WILL pass - but that they don't want the public to notice, so they've put a bunch of the Usual Suspects on Center Stage to moan & groan & emote.
Im sorry to see how some Democrats and liberals have attacked him in such ferocious fashion,
...shrimpy little creep. Always acting surprised how Marxists act and react. Unbelievable.
When you see/hear this kind of blind-side haymaker smear job, its goal is to delegitimize and shift attention away from the import of the sincere, vital reasons why he opposes Big G. Health. Lest this scum achieve his goal, let's applaud Joe and let him know how much we appreciate his principled stance.
It's pretty clear that, in the arena of ideas, if you must attack someone's personal character in the furtherence of your own position, the assault is moot because you have already ceded that position.

LOL, could someone please pass the popcorn, this is getting good! One “maverick” defending another. My lib facebook friends are having kittens over Lieberman, and I can’t stop laughing about it. Sucks when the “maverick” is on the other foot!
Me, I don’t trust either Joe or John. NO way.
So, Juan, what about that defense of your running mate, Sarah Palin, when the knives came out for her?
Man-crush.
