(SALT LAKE CITY) Former presidential candidate Mitt Romney is preparing a more prominent presence on the national scene with a new book coming out in the spring. His new book, No Apology: The Case for Americas Greatness comes out March 2 and Romney is kicking off a book tour at the Salt Palace March 13 with a book signing hosted by the University of Utahs Hinckley Institute of Politics. Kirk Jowers, a long-time Romney backer, is its director and says the book will offer ideas about turning around a nation some see in a decline. Jowers said he hopes to have 10,000 people at the book signing in March. At an earlier event, Romney was in Salt Lake City and was asked by reporters if he was running for the 2012 election. Tickets go on sale for the book signing this Thursday at 10am on MittRomneyUtah.
I most certainly will not apologize. I hold no brief for Romney and said he is not perfect. He may be weak on some issues, but he is not a liberal in conservative clothing, unlike others. When you use the term “barf” alert as if he were in the same class as a liberal, I believe that to be an expression of hatred.
How can I argue with such compelling reasoning?
Romney:
Untrustworthy on protecting the pre-born...
Untrustworthy on protecting employers & landlords of being forced to consider bedroom realities in their place of business...
Untrustworthy of protecting us from socialized healthcare (passed his own version as Bay State guv)...
Untrustworthy of protecting marriage (same-sex "marriage" passed on his watch in Mass)...
When you use the term barf alert as if he were in the same class as a liberal, I believe that to be an expression of hatred.
(Well, Jim, this poster thinks our sound rationale for opposing Romney & his book-promoting White House venture capital plan = "hate"...)
Why do we have to pick? Anyone who votes for someone because of their shared religious affiliation, especially those who step over the Scriptures to do so, needs to have their head examined. Mormons, Evangelicals, my fellow Catholics, etc. They are all putting their politics above God.
I would like to see Romney promote his book on Huckabees Fox show.
I'd like to see them both reduced to shilling on late night TV selling XXL Snuggies & Hair Club for Men.
Oh, nononononononono... you must be mistaken. Admittedly, it's an easy mistake to make.
See, I said the same thing, and his rabid supporters were quick to point out that he's just doin' his darnedest to be a good, supportive, reliable Republican who isn't even thinking of running again and handing the election to Obama on a silver platter.
So yeah. He's running.
Dude (or dudette). Individual mandate. Romney was a terrible Governor. He must not be nominated for President. He has shown to be the enemy of conservatives. Look at the record, forget the talk, it means nothing.
But I hear it gives you great lush hair. Isn’t it worth it then if makes go broke and blind?
Other titles: Going RINO...LOL!
Excellent!
Romney is not a liberal in conservative clothing.
He is also not a Conservative in conservative clothing.
He is a unprincipled chameleon in a politicians clothing with slick hair changing his beliefs and positions depending on his environment and goals.
Perhaps that is why some people around here (fewer and fewer) are confused enough to give him a pass. They have only seen one color....
It is all in the timing.
