A cold-hearted animal killer stabbed his mother-in-law's feline to death with an umbrella, and then told relatives: "It was only a cat, who cares?" lawyers said Friday.
Lordtyshon Garrett, 31, terrorized the 9-pound pussycat by poking and beating her, leaving the pet with injuries as severe as if she had fallen off a high-rise building or been hit by a car, animal experts said.
In a futile attempt to fight back, the 4-year-old feline, Madea, bit and scratched the plastic umbrella. The ASPCA found the cat's DNA on the umbrella and used it to pin the crime on Garrett, whose DNA also was found.

If it were a teen I would suspect a gang initiation, but a 31 year old man? Gone completely off his rocker or deeply evil or perhaps both.
I say smear him with tuna juice and stick him naked in the tiger’s cage at the zoo.
Madea was 9 lb. Lordtyshon was 20 times her size at 186 lbs. It’s clear who the sick cat killer was. He killed is mother-in-law’s cat.

Thank God they worked to find the killer of this innocent kitty (all kitties can’t actually form “intent” no matter what they tell you at night). It is great they used DNA to bring this scumbag to ground.
In the old days, the police would have left this as “who cares?” But today it is clear (there are solid links) that killing of animals who can’t protect themselves is a pathological trait. It almost inevitably leads to the same treatment of humans.
I’m not for killing other people’s pets, but it is just an animal. At most, it is property that has been destroyed.
Animals can have no rights, nor can they respect the rights of others.
We gladly slaughter animals for food. When we deem that illegal, I’ll jump on board the death penalty for such people as this.
That was what I was thinking precisely, Mother-n-law should have her daughter have him stand in front of the family why she takes a belt to this ill mannered relative behind.

People who abuse and torture animals are clearly psychopaths. I've seen homeless people beaten up, kicked, bloodied-you know those thugs kicked cats for fun and find such activities "fun." So it does not bother them to kick homeless, ill people. Animal cruelty, especially cat/kitten abuse, is especially linked with rape and sexual assault because cats have this "feminine" connection whereas dogs are more "masculine". Even note the terminology of "pussy cat"; it's all about power and domination and enjoyment of HURTING, even killing, a helpless creature. "Pussy" cat and the derogatory word used for female genitalia is not an accidental label. THUGS who torture and kill cats-next it could be minor girls, or women; cats and kittens will be the FIRST victims before graduating to human (including child) victims.

I saw them eating those on tv, they just throw them on the fire and pull them out of the fire by their tails. It was very gross, I can’t imagine what it tastes like.

Cats (and their benign brethren dogs) can reason to an extent and, more importantly, love unconditionally.
The last look my Musica gave me when I had to help let her go was “I love you and accept your decision absolutely.” And then she joined her sister, who at least just went during the night.
