Michelle Duggar, who was hospitalized last week with gallstone issues, gave birth to her 19th child with husband Jim Bob Duggar. The couple, who stars on TLC’s 18 Kids and Counting, welcomed daughter Josie Brooklyn at 6:27 p.m. Thursday at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Josie weighed in at 1 lb., 6 oz and was several months early. She was due in the spring.
A rep for TLC said Michelle was taken to the OR for an emergency C-section. Josie is in stable condition in the NICU. No other details were available. “The most important thing right now is for mom and baby Josie to get as much rest as possible. The family is grateful for all the prayers and well wishes during their recovery,” the TLC rep says.
Michelle, 42, was rushed to the hospital last weekend. In a video message from her hospital room earlier this week, Michelle and Jim Bob said the baby was “going great.”
The Duggar family has not commented.

My nieces and Nephews are all sweet kind children, but my sister has grown more and more distant from our family and most of them don’t know my mom, their grandmother. it is a sad thing and breaks my mom heart.

I’m both but I haven’t tried to have so many kids that my body is breaking down.
I never said they are not fine people but doing God’s work doesn’t mean that they can’t periodically abstain from sex in order to avoid getting pregnant every six months or so. Plenty of people do it!
Try minding your own business about how many children is too many for married people to have. Children are a GIFT from GOD....you don;t get pregnant every time you have sex.
What do you mean by “excessive dieting”? Does she gain any weight at all when she’s pregnant?
I didn’t diet; I was naturally small and thin during my pregnancies. But, my babies were all big and healthy.
As an aide in the Public School system, I have seen lots and lots of children who would benefit by being raised by a family like the Duggars. Seems to me they have nothing to apologize for...prayers up.

Meaning she doesn’t gain any weight and her children even when full term are born underweight and scrawny. Wearing the same tight blue jeans she wore in high school.
The left hates everything that is traditional, that keep a society secure and prosperous. They detest marriage unless it is gay marriage and they detest the idea of a woman who would never, under any circumstance, have an abortion for “convenience”.
If liberals took 30 seconds to consider their beliefs they would realize if left on their own to try and sustain a society, they would die off within a few generations and their “society” would be violent crime ridden, disastrous and completely opposite of what they claim is human rights.
Have you noticed how liberals can’t stand anyone who is actually mentally balanced and happy? If you’re not depressed, neurotic, dealing with some childhood trauma or at minimum medicating yourself into happiness, liberals believe there is something wrong with you.
I’m not saying there are not true mental health issues or trauma so horrible that a person isn’t affected for life. Liberals seem to wallow in their unhappiness, actually celebrate it. Conservative, God loving people celebrate life, healing and the grace of God.
I’m just curious because, typically, there’s another reason for low birthweight babies - like chain smoking, for example.
I was back into tiny jeans each time, too. But, I worried through each pregnancy that my baby wouldn’t be big enough, so I ate well. I just didn’t gain weight back then. (Wish I could say the same thing now that I’m older. I’ll never fit into those jeans again now.) ;-)
From what I’ve seen on the show there have been some concerns with each of her pregnancy but nothing unexpected or severe considering how many she’s had.
I saw an interview with her after baby 18 and she thought that would be her last child, that at her age she would not get pregnant again. I’m sure both of them will pray and do what they feel God is directing them to do.

Being Catholic, I think being open to life and having a large family is a wonderful gift. But I do hope that maybe they will look at their little tiny one and maybe allow Mrs. Duggar’s body to repair itself and heal. Being open to life requires responsibility.
I totally agree with you. Her body needs to heal. And her potential future children will need a safe and healthy womb for the first nine months of life.

Yes, we saw that also.....fingers crossed for the entire family. We've mentioned many times what a hoot it would have been to meet that family; we're guessing their 'Crater of Diamonds' episode was shot just weeks before wifey and I went there to dig in the mud.
