Michelle Duggar, who was hospitalized last week with gallstone issues, gave birth to her 19th child with husband Jim Bob Duggar. The couple, who stars on TLCs 18 Kids and Counting, welcomed daughter Josie Brooklyn at 6:27 p.m. Thursday at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Josie weighed in at 1 lb., 6 oz and was several months early. She was due in the spring.
A rep for TLC said Michelle was taken to the OR for an emergency C-section. Josie is in stable condition in the NICU. No other details were available. The most important thing right now is for mom and baby Josie to get as much rest as possible. The family is grateful for all the prayers and well wishes during their recovery, the TLC rep says.
Michelle, 42, was rushed to the hospital last weekend. In a video message from her hospital room earlier this week, Michelle and Jim Bob said the baby was going great.
The Duggar family has not commented.

Of course the reverse is also something of a risk to health. Not having children increases the chances of some cancers in women.
See #25 for formal and heartfelt apology.

Actually she and her husband have (so far)raised an incredible family. All loving, happy, hard-working, kind..just terrific. And, I am no doctor, but I think that her gall bladder incident may have been a contributing factor. I had 2 premature babies, one was my first child and then my fourth.
Although its weird that your sister diets when she’s pregnant, it doesn’t harm the baby since they take everything they need from Mom. Unfortunately, that means your sis will have bone, teeth and organ problems as she gets older.
Merry Christmas gathersnomoss!!! Let’s all just pray for the well-being of this child and her family.
Merry Christmas.
Ah, yes, scissors. My 5-year-old gave herself a haircut a month ago.
Congrats on braving a “large” family. Yes, you are blessed.
If I recall correctly, Mrs. Duggar has had at least one or two prior caesarian births. Does anyone know how many C-sections can a woman have before her womb becomes too scarred/weakened to carry future pregnancies safely?
Either you are NOT a mother or have NEVER had a hospital stay!!

We are especially worried about this as she won’t be able enjoy her grand kids in her old age.
Sounds like someone’s got some pride issues if she is concerned about her “figger” when she’s pregnant.

We haven’t been able to figure out if this is her pride of her husband’s pressure on her to look good.....
Either way, it’s someone putting themselves first...
and that’s the basis of a lot of hardships as it is the violation of what Jesus said was “like” the most important commandment.
Sounds like your poor family has its hands full. I hope she and those sweet children will be okay.
She is beautiful! I love children. I want several more.
I have been pinging ppl to your apology. :-)
I know someone that had 6 c sections. I have had three. Tried Vbac everytime. I am planning on at least 3 more if I can. I have discussed it with my ob and no problems.
I love my figger when I am pregnant. Alot more than when I am not. lol!
