Michelle Duggar, who was hospitalized last week with gallstone issues, gave birth to her 19th child with husband Jim Bob Duggar. The couple, who stars on TLC’s 18 Kids and Counting, welcomed daughter Josie Brooklyn at 6:27 p.m. Thursday at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
Josie weighed in at 1 lb., 6 oz and was several months early. She was due in the spring.
A rep for TLC said Michelle was taken to the OR for an emergency C-section. Josie is in stable condition in the NICU. No other details were available. “The most important thing right now is for mom and baby Josie to get as much rest as possible. The family is grateful for all the prayers and well wishes during their recovery,” the TLC rep says.
Michelle, 42, was rushed to the hospital last weekend. In a video message from her hospital room earlier this week, Michelle and Jim Bob said the baby was “going great.”
The Duggar family has not commented.

I can’t help but have a great amount of respect for the Duggar’s and the part of their lives they share with the public.
Not only are they unashamed, outspoken Christians; they are a perfect example of how, even under the “extreme” or unusual circumstances, people can and do live wonderful lives without relying on the Government for everything.
I love how liberals go absolutely balistic when it comes how the Duggar’s chose to live their lives.
If it isn’t the number of children they have, it’s that they home-school, or that they “shelter” their children, or that they are too “Christian” and OMG believe in creationism. All of the normal slams against them are really excuses; what really ticks off liberals about the Duggar’s is that they do not rely on the Government for anything! No food stamps, no Gov assistance, no Gov health insurance - nothing.

I dont think the Duggars have taken a dime from taxpayers. Maybe someone here can confirm that ... I’m no expert, just a sometimes viewer of their show.

Yes, but also Libs hate large families. They hate Palin because she has a large family and even birthed a Downs baby rather than using their sacrement of abortion. Remember for Libs increasing numbers of polar bears and wolves-good... increasing numbers of people-bad.

I appreciate your quick apology. It’s too easy to pile onto the Duggars for having a large family. I suppose the Patriarch Jacob/Israel got a lot of flack for his large family as well.

Doing “God’s Work” includes raising the kids too, not just having them. Being stuck in the hospital after her 19th child being born severely premature, probably because she has been pregnant too often and too close together, is hardly good for the other kids.
The disturbing thing is that this morning's episode was about Michelle getting close to having her 16th (this was an oldie, close to five years ago), and her OB was discussing her age as an issue even back then.
Enough already!
