Walter Williams: Cooling planet could cook zealots
Orange County Register (CA) ^ | December 11, 2009 | Walter E. Williams

Posted on 12/11/2009 4:57:55 AM PST by Oldeconomybuyer

Last year, my column "Global Warming Rope-A-Dope" (Dec. 24, 2008) started out: "Americans have been rope-a-doped into believing that global warming is going to destroy the planet. Scientists who have been skeptical about man-made global warming have been called traitors or handmaidens of big oil." New evidence proves that climatologists and environmental policy advocates have not only fed us lies, engaged in scientific and academic fraud but committed criminal acts as well. [snip]

Last year's column closed with my speculation that if ever "the permafrost returns to northern U.S., as far south as New Jersey as it once did, it's not inconceivable that Congress, caught in the grip of global warming zealots, would keep all the laws on the books they wrote in the name of fighting global warming. Personally, I would not put it past them to write more. This is confirmed by the Obama administration's climate czar, Carol Browner, who, despite dishonesty, fraud and criminality, says she considers the science on global warming settled.

Deep fry them in high-octane leaded gasoline.

They’re no good to eat? Taste bad or just chewy?

They are plentiful, so it there were a way to make them edible, we could say we were saving the planet since they stop emitting CO2, which is good right ...

>>> "New evidence proves that climatologists and environmental policy advocates have not only fed us lies, engaged in scientific and academic fraud but committed criminal acts as well..." <<<<

They intentionally lied, and they should all be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law and thrown in jail along with all the politicians who actively & knowingly enabled these fraudulent liars & scammers.

We live (with an out-of-touch government) in interesting times.

We are well down the road to slavery. This is just the last straw.

If we ever want to be free men again, we have to roll the imperial, tyrannical, federal government waaaaaaay back.

Start with a few simple things: abolish the IRS, income tax, federal reserve, and repeal 16th, 17th, and 19th amendments. Do it in that order. It could probably all be done in a couple sessions of Congress, if we can actually elect people with balls that care more about securing liberty for their children than being slavemaster for a while.

Everyone needs to “shift tactics” here. Actually, it’s a total shift in MINDSET and understanding of what these “global warming zealots” are all about.

First, recall how activists judges approach a case:
1) “How do I want this to turn out? What societal outcome do I desire in adjudicating this case?”
2) “Now, where can I find justification for my ruling?” (Constitution? no “emanations of the penumbra”? YES!)

Now, apply what you know to the “climate change” issue:

“What goals do I want to achieve?”
(wealth redistribution, global government, enriching the elites, disempowering the “serfs”, population control)

“Now, how can I justify implementing those “solutions””?
Fighting Global Climate Change!

You see, folks, you shouldn’t argue the veracity of their global climate change assertion - go right for the heart of what they are trying to do to us.

It’s funny, hennie pennie, that I didn’t connect your screen name with this issue yesterday.

Many of the “sheep” leftists that are buying into this global warming crap ARE just a bunch of “sky is falling” birdbrains.

As a matter of fact, I was reading that little tale to my little ones, and we discussed it afterwards. I said that today, we have people running around just like Henny Penny, clucking about “the earth is warming! the earth is warming!”, not knowing they are about to be eaten by a clever fox that offers a “solution”. Except in the case of the global climate change hoax, it’s the fox himself that “dropped the acorn” on Henny Penny’s head.

I'm with ya on getting rid of the Sixteenth and the Seventeenth.

The Nineteenth, my wife won't let me.

Ann Coulter actually said that she’d be willing to give up her right to vote, because women voting was the beginning of the great slide to socialism in this country as women, especially those without a stable hubby, tend to vote for the government to fill that role.

The nineteenth could be modified, if not repealed. Land owners and spouses of land owners can vote. Military members, honorably discharged military members and their spouses can vote.

I have said it myself. There are some good conservative women, problem is 9 out of 10 women are blithering idiots.

Women need to ask themselves if going and filling in ovals on a piece of paper on a day or two each year, or every 4 years, is worth being a slave to the government.

Young women, for whatever reason, disproportionately vote for socialism and believe the BS from conmen politicians peddling vague promises and lots of feel-good lies.
