A high-ranking Al Qaeda figure reportedly was killed Thursday in a U.S. drone aircraft attack in north Pakistan.
The attack, first reported by NBC News, was officially denied by Pakistani officials, though sources told Fox News that neither Usama bin Laden or Ayman al-Zawahiri were among those killed.
Pakistani media report six militants were killed in the attack, including four foreign fighters, a classification in the tribal areas that typically refers to Al Qaeda.
The attack was part of the expanded use of Predator drones recently authorized by the White House, sources told Fox News, though the drone attacks, which began during the Bush Administration, never have been officially confirmed because of political sensitivity in Pakistan.

US strike kills 4 al Qaeda, 2 Taliban in South Waziristan
By Bill Roggio December 10, 2009 11:25 AM
The US has conducted the first unmanned airstrike in the lawless tribal agency of South Waziristan since the Pakistani Army launched an offensive there in mid-October.
The strike, carried out by unmanned Predator or Reaper attack aircraft, hit a Taliban “hideout” in Tanga in the Ladha region in South Waziristan. Ladha is one of several Taliban strongholds that were the target of the Pakistani Army’s offensive against the Mehsud branch of the Taliban in South Waziristan.
Four al Qaeda operatives and two Taliban fighters were killed in the attack, according to reports from the region. “Eyewitnesses said the toll could be mount,” Geo News reported. It is not known if senior al Qaeda or Taliban commanders were killed in the attack.

Let me guess.... The number 3 guy. (toughest job in Al qaeda)
LOL!
Yup, always #3. Poor bastard.
(who would ever take that job any way?)
We still haven’t heard whether the pilot of the drone will face charges like the Navy Seals (whereever he may be)
Sadly, no sarc tag.
And....as I always add the internet meme to situations such as these.....”and nothing of value was lost”.
Osama: Number 4, you are now my number 3.
Number 4: No, no. I’m good.
So his constitutional rights where violated. /s
++++++++++++++++++
Court marshall trial to begin soon for the personnel that guided the drone. /s
This poor guy was denied Due Process, I’m sure he was not Mirandized. Where is Code Pink? Where is the ACLU? Where is Amnesty International? Where are all of the other Bush hating douche bags and steaming piles of crap we’ve come to know and detest?
WHAT HAPPEN?
And to think Nobama received the Nobel peace prize today. Maybe it was the “pieces” prize. Nobama is a warmongering insensitive who is discriminating against our mooslim brothers. (total sarc)
somebody set him up the bomb
You can bet someone will be brought up on violating his civil rights. The should have given him two weeks notice prior to sending in the drone. Looks real bad for the guy guiding the drone at this time.
They have been partying at DNC headquarters
Don’t believe the Democrat BS about Obama giving the military expanded authority to use Predator UAVs against Al Qaeda and the Taliban in Pakistan.
The US Military told Obama that they would revolt unless they could expand their reach into Pakistan. There is an underground revolt against Obama in the military though you won’t see it in the MSM.
If you read between the lines of items coming out of Afghanistan from American soldiers, you can see that they hate the Appeaser in Chief and will do anything they can to win (despite PC Rules of Engagement which are getting our guys killed, esp. after the ambush at Wanat).
Obama would have been shot for treason if he hadn’t signed on to any expanded Predator use. It has come that close to an open military revolt.
Trust me. Military advisor Jones and JCS Casey have their jobs on the line, and they will be ousted by those directly below them if they screw up again. The falling ax is in a raised position and if there is another deadly screw-up in Iraq or Afghanistan, or another Ft. Hood, heads will roll and pensions pissed out the door.
Good!
Just curious, how many of these “high ranking” terrorists do we have to kill before their ranks are depleted....
It seems every time we kill some high ranking Al Qaeda thug, more of them arise.
make your time
