Call it Carbonhagen: Joseph Farah rips rampant hypocrisy on display at climate summit

Sometimes it's difficult to accuse liberals of hypocrisy because they don't believe in standards – or, at least, the standards are always changing.

But not so with the climate alarmists like those meeting in Copenhagen this week. There they are – the elite of the world – making pronouncements about the way the rest of us have to live in the future: No big cars and trucks. No more power plants. No more refineries. It will be a future of windmills and solar panels as far as the eye can see.

Somehow people will make their money trading carbon credits and in illusory "green jobs."

In matters of man-made, catastrophic climate change, they have set the standards.

But is that how they live?

If you can't stand the heat, stop breathing

Apparently, the Democrats and Iran's nuclear mullahs are in a race to see who can best roll back the Great Satan a couple of centuries technology-wise. The mullahs plan a "world without America" by nuking the U.S. skies (electromagnetic pulse attack), producing a big enough shockwave that it would be lights out on everything from communications to food and water.

But Democrats have an even better "world without America" plan -- it's called the EPA. The nuts running that asylum now claim that, based on no evidence, belching cows and other big polluters threaten the whole planet because CO2 is now deemed a "dangerous pollutant" under the crooked theory of 'man-made global warming'. My rate of respiration increased when I heard about this.

So, according to liberals, the 'solution' to melting Himalayan glaciers that aren't melting is to tax and regulate even more. I hear this will do wonders for the economy.

The EPA's "Endangerment Finding", relying on the nonexistent authority of the IPCC's '07 report which invokes the nonexistent authority of a bunch of weirdos alleging to be 'scientists' at the CRU, paves the way for regulations to choke off the economy in pursuit of a 'solution' to a problem that doesn't exist.

Reading between the lines of the bazillion "news" articles of manufactured hysteria they put out daily, the global warming ninnies think the real problem is too many breathers, which means greater emissions of that doomsday CO2 that plants live on. Obama's nut "science" czar John Holdren has written glowingly about compulsory population control. If I recall correctly, Hitler also had a 'solution' to too many CO2-producing life forms.

Demonstrating that there's no sanity test to join Obama's administration, EPA Commissar Lisa Jackson insists that her new draconian regulations are "reasonable" and that she'll implement the insane rules with "common sense." Democrats laughingly argue that the 'finding' will only affect very limited areas of human activity, such as those involving use of air, land or water.

Always keenly looking out for America's best interests, Obama is promising his sole remaining admirers -- the Copenhagen jetset attending the global weather-control summit -- that U.S. per-capita 'emissions' by the year 2050 will be down to where they were around 135 years ago.

In other words, whether it's the mullahs' EMP attack plan or the Democrats' EPA attack plan it's hello 19th century. But, come to think of it, it'll be 2013 before the EPA can implement and by that time President Sarah Palin will put the agency up on eBay.

And raining on the EPA parade and the darling America-haters in Copenhagen -- the "handful" of thousands and thousands of leaked computer files and e-mails showing the liberals' beloved "settled science" to be a farce. As "irrelevant" Sarah Palin noted yesterday in an op-ed piece she cunningly snuck past the editors at the Washington Post, the ClimateGate "e-mails reveal that leading climate 'experts' deliberately destroyed records, manipulated data to 'hide the decline' in global temperatures" and subverted the peer-review process even though "some scientists had strong doubts about the accuracy of estimates of temperatures from centuries ago" -- alluding to Michael Mann's now discredited "Hockey Stick" graph, which a 6-year-old with a crayon can draw.

And since libbies are apparently having paroxysms of rage that the Hockey Mom is questioning Hockey Mann, I'll quote from Palin's piece some more:

"This scandal obviously calls into question the proposals being pushed in Copenhagen. I've always believed that policy should be based on sound science, not politics," taking a stand as governor against the federal government's decision to "list the polar bear as an endangered species" even though its population "had more than doubled."

Al Gore took the bait, responding to Palin by claiming that the e-mail correspondence, which clearly shows "scientists" scheming to finesse the data, is not the smoking gun showing "scientists" scheming to finesse the data. Gore whined that "global warming" is like gravity and that "the deniers are persisting in an era of unreality."

Oh dear. Liberals are so breathlessly stupid they haven't figured out they are the deniers. The warm-nutters DENY that climate change happens naturally -- Earth shaking off a mini ice age in the early 1700s; Medieval Warm Period from 800 to 1300 AD -- and that EPA regulatory language by some hack filling out a 40-pound rule book isn't going to stop natural climate change, no matter how many Kyoto treaties and Copenhagen talk-fests you top it off with, because climate change is the natural order of things.

Naturally, libbies are in denial even about ClimateGate. Palin said it best: "Vice President Gore, the Climategate scandal exists. You might even say that it's sort of like gravity: you simply can't deny it."

Anyway, that's...
My Two Cents...

After seeing some of what is actually happening behind the scenes over there, I see why even Al Gore and others are brushing it aside.

It is a big carnival, people from supposed poor countries miraculously appear in Denmark to protest and chant, people in funny costumes dancing around, it looks like a gigantic Sci Fi Convention, but with angry people and nothing cool happening.

I recall all those decades when the John Birchers and others of us were called kooks and conspiracy theorists for insisting that there was a move afoot to implement global governance and undermine the sovereignty of the U.S. What more evidence does anybody need?

Since leftists have inherent elitist assumptions as the basis of their ideology,

they see no “hypocrisy” at all when the elites fly in on private jets, get limoed to the conference, and eat expensive, rich, high carbon footprint food.

This is the end goal, in fact- the serfs get to reduce their lifestyle, while the elite increase theirs even further.

Let me see if I understand this, I’m supposed to freeze in the dark after my money is siphoned off, filtred thru Blankfein’s sticky fingers and finally sent to a corrupt third world dictatorship because some kids think NYC will be completely underwater in a few decades? I hate to say it, but peaceable is passing silently in the night.

WARMERFUL COPENHAGEN
Tune: "Wonderful Copenhagen"

Warmerful, warmerful Copenhagen
Climate gatekeepers in town
We will say it's hot
Even when it's not
We will pass the gas around

In warmerful, warmerful Copenhagen
Putting the foolish in fuel
Now I'm turning green
Getting sick, I mean
Singing Copenhagen
Warmerful, warmerful
Copenhagen is cool!

I flew on my private jet
To pay off my climate debt
Meeting Algore for cocktails today
And there he stands, waiting for me
With a welcome so warm if I pay

Warmerful, warmerful Copenhagen . . .

Warmerful, warmerful Copenhagen
Climate gatekeepers in town
We will say it's hot
Even when it's not
We will pass the gas around

In warmerful, warmerful Copenhagen
Putting the foolish in fuel
Now I'm turning green
Getting sick, I mean
Singing Copenhagen
Warmerful, warmerful
Copenhagen is cool!
