Finally, a legitimate political connection to this whole mess, and it involves a Democrat Congressman.

With all of his other problems, I’m certain this is the equivalent of being put on “double secret probation.”

Don’t agree with this ‘golf is a sport for all people’ thing. Private clubs have outrageous fees and the public courses are usually riddled with snobs and elitists...my experience with golf, anyway.

Actually, tiger is going to be subjected to Capital Punishment - his banks accounts are going to suffer mightily.

Congress is loaded up with unemployable blowhards and frauds - and they think their opinion matters to anyone? I have no dog in this fight and don’t care about any of it.

Woods unfit for congress??

Agreed, he’s a sleazeball, but then so is the vast majority of congress.

However, at least Woods has a talent. As for congress......hmmmmm.

And, if Kennedy and Kerry are senators (well, Roman senators)...and the banking queen is in the house...there are no standards to speak of.

Baca had previously submitted a bill to give Woods the award in recognition of his "service to the Nation in promoting excellence and good sportsmanship...

Good sportsmanship?? When?? Where?? Tiger is one of the most juvenile players on the course - throwing his golf clubs, swearing, being wildly aggressive (his fist-pumps are truly repulsive).

Whoa,Whoa,Whoa!!!
The reasons for the award stand- and Tiger has earned them.
He has benefited the sport of golf, he has broken barriers, etc. Now if the Congressional award was for FAMILY LIFE then he wouldn’t deserve it.
But oh the irony of ANYONE in Congress judging Tiger for his promiscuous behavior! How many of them are doing the same- or worse? Hypocrites!
In politics being a sleazebag( Ted Kennedy comes to mind) makes one a GOD. Even murder is excused!
Tiger doesn’t win any awards for morality or judgement in his personal life BUT as a golfer he is still the #1 in the world and any awards re. his playing the game are well earned.
IF one’s personal life negated their professional life in politics, entertainment, etc there would be no politicians and no Hollywood.
Politicians and entertainers are the LAST people who have the right to judge Tiger.

and yet Tiger is still morally superior to the United States Congress as a whole.

"Baca had previously submitted a bill to give Woods the award in recognition of his "service to the Nation in promoting excellence and good sportsmanship, and in breaking barriers with grace and dignity by showing that golf is a sport for all people."

Tiger Woods is a PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE who is worth a billion dollars because he can swing a club.

So he was getting this award because of his color? Unbelievable.
