Pataki is more interested in testing a Presidential bid. He attended a couple of fundraisers in Iowa.

How about this scenario: RG sells his interest in the security company for big $$ because of the contract with Rio, then uses the money to fund his war chest for the senate campaign.

I don’t know what makes Pataki think he’d have any chance at national office.

That same hyperinflated ego that we’ve seen amongst so many of our former Governors, Senators and Mayors.

That’s plausible.

I actually think the Senate would be a pretty good place for Giuliani.

Rudy should run for Governor of NY.

Ping. I’d really like him to run for one or the other, but I don’t think he wants to risk the prestige lost if he were to lose.

It seems as if the people of NY are incapable of choosing anyone good for any office.

ROFL. George Pataki makes Joe Lieberman look charismatic. OJ Simpson has a better chance of being elected president than George Pataki.

NY are incapable of choosing anyone good for any office.

Perhaps they are incapable because there isn't any conservatives who plan on running.

“Pataki is more interested in testing a Presidential bid. He attended a couple of fundraisers in Iowa.”

Idjit. That man has ‘never be President’ written all over him.
He should run for Senate, he’ll be useless as tits on a bull otherwise, actually he’s useless anyway but it will tie down the Dems to fight him in a US Senate run.

“Calling George Pataki!!!”

Noooooooooooooooo!

I like John Faso and Betty Little. Anybody know any other prolife, conservatives who might consider running?

Faso and Little would be decent candidates for Congress, but they don’t have the name I.D. to run for the U.S. Senate.

True, Betty Little doesn’t have name recognition, but Faso did run for governor. Didn’t that give him name recognition?

Who else? Or is NYS doomed to only have pro-abortion, liberal politicians who are almost as bad as the Dems.

Little should run in the Sweeney/Gillibrand/Murphy CD, unless Faso wants to run there (they both live in the district). Maybe Faso could run for the Senate, but his prior statewide run didn’t go too well (he was so underfunded that his name ID probably isn’t very high anyhow) and Pataki or Rudy would have a better chance of winning. I agree with you that we should be running pro-life Republicans ifor the Senate or governorship in NY who can motivate social conservatives and get socially moderate or liberal votes for other reasons, but we first need to build a farm system, and that’s done by having them elected to the U.S. House first, or maybe as Lt. Gov.
