The lunch conversation inevitably turned to whether the White House would display its crèche, customarily placed in a prominent spot in the East Room. Ms. Rogers, this participant said, replied that the Obamas did not intend to put the manger scene on display a remark that drew an audible gasp from the tight-knit social secretary sisterhood. (A White House official confirmed that there had been internal discussions about making Christmas more inclusive and whether to display the crèche.)
Yet in the end, tradition won out; the executive mansion is now decorated for the Christmas holiday, and the crèche is in its usual East Room spot.

When is this nightmare going to end!
Let’s hope 2010 will be the beginning.

Yup, January 2011 if the GoP got its act together, we could be impeaching a whole stinking lot of the dems now running the Hill and its committees.. but then that wouldn’t be commpaaaassionate, would it? ;-)
LOL, stop it. You’re killin’ me!!!! ;-)
Who is depicted in the manger?
>I sooo hate this man!
“Love ye your enemies, bless those that curse you, do good to those that hate you, pray for those who despitefully use and persecute you.”
- JESUS a.k.a. God
Pray that he sees the Truth before his end.
“He doesn’t give a rip about American tradition...”
.
Should any foreigner?
Thanks!
Thanks for the chuckle!
That record of him being born in a Kenyan feed trough is sealed up good and tight.
Celebrating 1917 communist revolution in the White House is more like it.
What an evil, ugly, commie POS he is. What goes around, comes around. The Lord works in mysterious ways. I’ll be patient. With the amount of corruption in this administration, it’s just a matter of time before something really, really big is exposed and takes him down. Something even his friends in the media won’t be able to cover up. Tick... tick.... tick.....
I'm not a churchgoer but Christmas is just that, no need to make more "inclusive", what a load of rot.
How is it one makes Christmas “more inclusive” by excluding Christ?
An “inclusive” Christmas does not mean “rip out all meaning.” It means “you can join us in Christmas, but don’t expect us to change it for you. If you don’t like that, so you later.”
I’m sure his muzzl’em friends would not modify any of their holy days for us.
Yet despite his hatred for Him, Jesus keeps His spot in the White House. I love it. "Dreams from my Fatwah" and "Chewbacca" spending Christmas feeling uncomfortable in our house with a ceramic Baby Jesus down the hall.
Merry Christmas!

Snip: The curse came upon the White when President George W. Bush placed the Koran with great aplomb in the White House library.
How the heck do you make celebrating Christmas more inclusive? It is a holiday set aside to celebrate the birth of Christ. Every American can choose to celebrate the birth of Christ or Not.
You could argue the point that it shouldn’t be a holiday but you can’t argue that the holiday shouldn’t be to celebrate the birth of Christ.
Can somebody please explain this to me? I am obviously not sophisticated enough to understand how you can have a non-religious Christmas. It's not Christmas if it isn't religious, or have I been missing something all these years?
Have they worked out how to safely get Obama up onto the Cross?
He was just confused because he thought it was meant to be a scene oh his birth.
Wherever that was.
I’m going to hurl.
