In a move by the Obama administration that is gallingly cynical and would be considered treasonous in a less progressive era, a message sent by Code Pink [2] and an article published [3] by the left wing online publication AlertNet indicates the White House is working with the left wing terrorist support group Code Pink to agitate the public and undermine President Barack Obama’s newly announced Afghanistan war policy.
Top Obama funder, Code Pink co-founder and terrorist supporter Jodie Evans [4] wrote at AlterNet of a White House initiated phone call she received last week, two days after Obama’s Afghan war speech at West Point. The Obama official said the administration wanted to “consult” with Code Pink in response to the group’s e-mail campaign targeting the White House with opposition to the president’s surge strategy.
However, it appears that the Obama administration was already in consultation with Code Pink before this reported phone call. In its message to supporters, Code Pink guaranteed their e-mails would be read by someone in the White House.
“It’s time to turn our outrage into sustained action. Use our quick and easy tool to send your response to Obama’s announcement to the Executive Office of the President–where it will be read by a member of Obama’s team! Let them know that you are mad as hell and will push back on the escalation. It is our job to continue to press them as we move forward.”
In the article at AlterNet, Jodie Evans gloats about Code Pink’s success, noting the Obama official called “three minutes” after the e-mail campaign was launched.

Obama has been consulting with Jodie Evans for nearly three years since first inviting her to co-host the breakthrough Hollywood fundraiser in February 2007 [5] that made his presidential candidacy a serious contender. He appointed her a bundler for his campaign [6] and took tens of thousands of dollars in contributions [7] from her for his Obama for America and Obama Victory Fund campaign vehicles.
Obama’s last known meeting with Jodie Evans was in October [4] when she gave him an antiwar propaganda package based on her recent trip to Kabul. While in Afghanistan, she met with members of the Taliban [8], according to her friend Jane Fonda. Obama allowed himself to be filmed [9] accepting the propaganda package.
Jodie Evans and Code Pink have a well documented history of working to bring about America’s defeat in the war on terror. They have the blood of America’s soldiers on their hands from funding “the other side” in Fallujah [10], acting as a mouthpiece [11] for Mahmoud Ahmadinejad [12] and sympathizing with Osama bin Laden. [13]
Obama and his team know this, yet they continue to work with Jodie Evans and Code Pink as Obama sends more of America’s sons and daughters to fight Code Pink’s allies overseas.
Yeah, the dope who posted this is from Australia. They must really be getting a dose of the New World Order down there. The conservatives are even stupid.....wait a minute....our so called conservatives are stupid here too!! We are surrounded by stupid. Although I support the military, for their great service to the country and for upholding the country’s constitution, I have to tell this reality: Afghanistan has turned into Vietnam II for Obama (by design), in a similar manner to Vietnam for LBJ (also by design).

I have thought that this is what he was doing.
He says he is sending the troops but really wants Congress and anti war groups to protest.
He then comes out after a short time and says the American people want us out.
The manipulation and lies out of this WH is treasonous.

The first “actor” in this potemkin charade of an Afghanistan policy, that is, the first to “protest” the sending of troops..was none other than Bill Ayers. He is “protesting” the warmongering of Obama. This is all part of the stage show. The goal for Obama is to create conditions for military failure, much as was done in Vietnam. Willing media then will say..”see, this policy didn’t work” and our military will be weakened severely. THAT is the intent, and, to keep them occupied overseas,as opposed to standing down and coming back home to a collapsed economy— what with all the skill sets they would have to place themselves in a “risk group” for domestic revolt by the DHS. Roman history provides a good reference.
And, like Vietnam, the design is to make the world of Afghanistan safe for the free flow of heroin to the West. Obama’s mobster pals are in this up to the hilt. We are fortunate that unit integrity and military training is such that our force degradation is not what it was in Vietnam, which was a product of the draft and the ridiculous drug subculture of the time. Remember, Obama’s people are 60’s druggies- Clinton’s are 60’s druggies who wanted to get rich. Obama is far more dangerous and a true marxist.
Bull. Even idiots do things right every once in a great while. If an idiot stumbles upon the correct answer to 2+2, you don’t say he’s wrong just because you don’t like him. I have been supporting the troops and the war since it started. I’m not going to turn my back on them now just because some dofus is doing the right thing for once in his life. Your premise is a lie. Agreeing with a rapist that water is wet does NOT mean you approve of what he’s done. The right thing is the right thing, and the truth is the truth, even if it comes from the mouth of an a55.

You misunderstand my "premise." Of course it is possible to support Obama on this issue and oppose him on others. That is not what is happening here, however. Many pro-war (you seem to be a rare exception) want to have it both ways e.g support his policy of escalation in Afghanistan but refuse to openly and honestly admit it.

Afghanistan. So you know that it Vietnam 2? I don’t remember the part where the Vietnamese wanted to fly planes into buildings, saw infidels heads off, or convert the world to an Islamic hellhole. We.....or maybe just the stupid, or just blatantly too stupid to survive. Prepare for an amazingly herd time where your very freedom is at stake.

Between this, having the deadiest month in October while they waited for a decision on troops and his blackmail of Nelson re: healthcare threatened closure of our Strategic base, he should be impeached.
