Per Fox. Obama will impose cap and trade through the EPA and executive order. White House spokesman quoted as saying that since the Senate seems unwilling to pass cap and trade, Obama is willing to do so by himself to "address the global warming crisis." This is timed to the Copenhagen fiasco of radical Warmists.
I am sure the Senate will stand-up to him. /S
Taxes rates are established by laws passed by congress and signed by the Pres. Hell, he may be able to have that done, but it’s much more insidious what can be done by his regulators. One of my worst fears is whether after a financial collapse, the ChiComs offer to bail us out... in return for our public lands and nuke arsenal. BTW, I think this is exactly what we should have done to the USSR when they fell and needed financial assistance. But we’re too gracious to make such an offer.
I believe they are testing the waters with a story like this!!
Good wins out over evil - don’t ya know...
No, only congress has the authority to tax, according to the Constitution. However, the Constitution doesn’t mean a whole hell of a lot anymore.
How true.
This is the last unfinished remnant of the Civil War; the failure to outlaw the democrat party and hang or expel it’s leadership North and South in 1865.
I wish the after-birthers would recognize this. We need anything, anything at all, to take this ass out of power.
Doesn’t seem like they’re going to respond to anything short of something like you’ve suggested.
Marching will accomplish nothing if not in formation.
(Can you believe this!!)
It’s vile, beyond belief. But yes, I can believe it from this evil administration.
Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., lead author of the Senate bill, has argued that if Congress doesn't act, the EPA will regulate greenhouse gas emissions. He has called EPA regulation a "blunt instrument" that would pose a bigger problem for industry than legislation crafted to mitigate some of the costs of shifting away from carbon emitting fossil fuels.
"BLUNT INSTRUMENT", KERRY? REALLY?!
“Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., lead author of the Senate bill, has argued that if Congress doesn’t act, the EPA will regulate greenhouse gas emissions. Yeah, if that isn’t blackmail, I don’t know what is.
RE: “The people who gave these scum all the power deserve the misery this bunch will inflict upon them. They may be too stupid to know it yet, but they will soon.”

They neither know nor would care — saw some of the jerks at local mall yesterday, happily shopping, etc. — anything the WH resident communist in chief does is fine with them —
I knew dear leader was a commie the second I learned of his connections, like Ayers — didn’t take long to put it together.
My bumper sticker says it best: YOU VOTED FOR IT, COMRADE!
Zero is pro-UN and the UN is anti-gun ownership. There is only one logical outcome and conclusion.
Aside from DeMint, Bachmann and precious few others, where the hell is the GOP?
They are still hiding in a closet, holding a mirror and a flashlight and searching for their missing family jewels....apparently.
RE: “Far too many just want free stuff. They dont really care about the consequences. Not at all.”

Exactly. I’m surrounded by this detritus here in Los Angeles, now the cesspool of CA and the southwest.
They all LOVE the idea of more redistribution of wealth, FROM us, TO them. THEY are the ones out shopping this season.
I’ve talked to one or two people in the malls who share our views here. They are astounded at what is happening to this country.
Whoa. You guys are in deep trouble. Freepmail me for information on immigrating and/or investing in Canada. No cap and trade here.
