In a three-way Generic Ballot test, the latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds Democrats attracting 36% of the vote. The Tea Party candidate picks up 23%, and Republicans finish third at 18%. Another 22% are undecided.

I don’t know.
The short answer is YES, I will vote for any Republican running against any Dimocrat in a GENERAL election. To not do that is unconscionable.
I agree..someone is still trying to be cute in framing the wording.
Voting for GOP candidates who are 10% less socialist than their Dem opponents should be now be a completely discredited strategy, but alas it’s not.

Akin to that, voting for 3rd party candidates with no hope of national electoral success, should be a discredited strategy, but alas it’s not.
Electoral and political success for conservatives will come as we purge the R party of RINOs and pursue populism as reflected in the Tea Party movement.
You need help.
Bruce: How should we pursue electoral success?
DManA: I don’t know.

The republicans are destructive in their own unique way. They are the same in that they are both destroying the country.

Yet you’re telling us you don’t know how to stop that; how to pursue electoral success!
The GOP policy once you get past the emotional on camera wedge issues they use to seduce conservatives (united opposition to Obama stimulus and health care) is to get along with the Democrats when the cameras aren’t on them.
The GOP members like the 10 Senators who helped advance a radical left wing judicial nominee (Lamar Alexander and Kay Bailey Hutchinson among them).
My GOP congressman (Todd Platts) who voted for Jack Murtha’s pork so he could get a share for his district.
Bottom line is that means Obama and the fascists win. This isn’t something to celebrate unless we love Perot.
Sorry grandma...this has been coming for decades. Sorry that you can’t see just how bad things are. If you haven’t cried for your Country in the past few months...you just don’t get it.

The lesson for Republicans is obvious. Embody Tea Party issues or go the way of the Whigs.

Right. Let’s look at facts. “In the history of the United States, not a single third party has come close to winning the presidency, only 7 3rd parties have even won a single states electoral votes and only 5 third parties have won even 10% of the vote.”
Given that reality, given those facts, how should we pursue electoral success?
One more time for good measure: Electoral and political success for conservatives will come as we purge the R party of RINOs and pursue conservative populism as reflected in the Tea Party movement.
Actually, the undecided 22% is probably deciding between Republican & Democrat (these are the moderates) and most likely will tip to the Dem side in a merging of the Tea Party and GOP.. (Tea Party = right wing = anti-moderate)...magritte
... regardless (as already conclusively established) of how liberal, socialist or even unappologetically Marxist they may happen to be so far as legalized infanticide; wholesale and unconditional amnesty for tens of millions of illegal immigrants; or punitive, crippling tax rates, to name but three immediate issues, are concerned.
No, no. No need to illustrate further. You've rendered your position more than amply clear already, I assure you.
And then some.
Earthdweller: “Sorry that you cant see just how bad things are.”
Grandma - aren’t you in favor of purging the R party of RINOs? For instance, don’t you support Rubio over Crist?
The GOP wants to use real conservatives to elect non-conservatives and that has to stop.
The end result is a slower longer death of freedom in this country.
In Canada the conservative people started a third party and it certainly split the vote for a dozen years. But they killed and destoyed the “Progressive Conservative Party” they were protesting.
But Canada is still there after the mess, it wasn’t the end of the world.
The new Conservative Party that came out of it has been in power for several years now.
My first thought too. Although one must take the source into account as well.
You have it backwards...
