Cantwell talks about flaws in the Italian justice system.
Hmm let me, here in the USA we have five times more homicides than the country which is home to the mafia and Sen Cantwell says the Italian justice system is flawed

I’m sure Italian prisons aren’t holes like in Turkey or Sudan or someplace, so that’s not a concern. Is Hill saying she thinks Italian courts don’t have due process or something? What’s the problem?

If I were innocent, I’d rather be tried in Italy than American. If I were guilty, I’d prefer America. Either way, I wish Cantwell would STFU.

Yup. This girl went to study in Italy. It looks like she got involved with a bad crowd. The prosecutors in Italy also went after two other people in the murder and got convictions. It is not like she was singled out.

Apparently, she wasn’t studying. I don’t know the specifics of the case, but her parent should have warned her about what things are like overseas.

The Kracken awakens...
Could it be that hillary incrementalism back toward the National spotlight has begun?
"you put your left foot in, you take your left foot out, you put your left foot in, and you shake it all about..."
She goes silent for a spell, and then starts "cherry picking" the events to get herself back into the news and comment on things that will throw her in the best light..."safe" things that won't upstage der fuhrer.
I envision a political cartoon with her and obama, on stage, trying to push each other out of the spotlight beam....again.
I think the old gal still wants to be the first female President...just a hunch (Oops...I shouldn't say "hunch" and "hillary" in the same sentence...yuk).
"...you do the hokey-pokey and you turn yourself around, that's what, it's all about."

She was a “leader” of a bad crowd before she went to Italy. Her history isn’t good.

Agreed. She does appear to be on the trashy side.
Seems to me whatever went on, she was involved.

Thanks. I kind of suspected that. If you go overseas to study then study. Pretty girl but she looks devious.

Shouldn’t the State Dept, if no one else, be concerned and follow the case? Who do our diplomats represent? Who do they work for?

From a long thread on this yesterday- she WAS the bad crowd. It was the dead girl that was in the wrong crowd.
This chick and her two confederates belong in an Italian prison forever if the reports were accurate.

Sen Cantwell (D-WA) wants to see if Hillary can intervene because she thinks the Italian justice system was unfair. They didn't sequester jurors and let them see and hear all sort of information on the case they were on. Where does it say that the Italian justice system has to be just like the US justice system?
Seems like Cantwell needs to sit down and watch a few episodes of "Locked up Abroad." When you commit a crime or are suspected of committing a crime in a foreign land you are subject to their laws and conditions.
What does she expect Hillary to do? I see nothing coming of this episode.
