Global warming culture has arrived.
A motocross event through local forests and city streets and a fashion "summit" are among the myriad side events scheduled for the United Nations' Climate Change Conference 2009, which begins Monday. There's also a new Copenhagen cocktail for delegates perhaps weary of heavy discussion.

Levin is right: liberals are hysterically funny when not they are not in power.

The International Eco-Enduro is the "world's first international Enduro race for zero-pollution electrical competition motorcycles," say organizers, who add, "No CO2 and no noise." So, these "pollution free" motorcycles will come from all over the world to Copenhagen for the race. Wonderful.
I'm curious though, how do the machines, their riders and crew all get to Copenhagen?

How are those electric motorcycles charged? Besides, even if they were human powered, there would still be CO2. I thought these ultra-lefty types were against any competition anyway (unless of course it’s something like the Cuban sports program, or more seriously any challenge to their socialist tyranny.).

Anything less and it exposes them as the hypocrites they are.

sung to the tune of “Home On The Range”
Oh, give me a home where the wind turbines roam
Where the queers and the unicorns play
Where solar does work with encouraging words
And the skies are so sunny all day
Hope, hope and some change
Where the deer and the antelope play
Where seldom is heard a disparaging word
And the rigs they are idle all day
How often at night when the money’s so tight
From the light of the glittering stars
Have I stood there and froze and asked as my toes
Are as frozen at ten icy bars
Hope, hope and some change
Where the scientists cheat on the stats
Where seldom is heard a discouraging word
Cause Al Gore he did make sure of that
Then give me a land where the EPA can hand
Carbon tickets to tax like a dream
Where the grateful sheep pawns go sickly along
Like a chump in a political dream
Oh I would not exchange that sick hope and the change
Where the heat and the AC did flow
Where my engine was heard like a powerful word
And the skies used to change every day

The International Eco Enduro sounds like a blast to me.
The first 2 days will have two 10 to 15 KM stages during the day and 1 at night. The second night stage will exploit the weakness of electric motorcycles as riders will not know the distance to the finish. They will need to conserve battery power for fear of running out of juice. The third days stages will take place on a supermoto track in Copenhagen where the organizers hope to have a lot of spectators and press in attendance.

Of course.
They’re liberals.

Shake with ice cubes...
Hypocrites.
The Greenies encourage folks to never use ice cubes for drinks.
Why I'm shocked, shocked I tell you...to hear something non-Green
will be going on in Copenhagen.

for future reference after the linked article vanishes:
The Copenhagen
The Copenhagen is a little pick-me-up for the global warming gaggle
that grew out of a contest among Denmark’s top mixologists and was
officially sanctioned by the Danish tourism board. One Gromit Eduardsen
concocted the winning formula:
5 cl Bols Genever (almost 2 shots)
2 cl Cherry Heering liqueur (equivalent to about ¾ shot)
2 cl fresh lime juice
2 cl sugar syrup
1 dash Angostura Bitters
Shake with ice cubes and strain into stemmed glass without ice.
Garnish with a curl of orange peel.
